when is the time we had 3 irish players starting for us

Over the last 8 games he has averaged 13 mins as a sub and has 2 assists, I expect we will see more of him over the next few months, I think he just needs to get that goal monkey off his Interestingly that currently is more assists than Redmond, Ings, Hojberg, Armstrong and a whole heap more. Interestingly our lead assist player is Jack Stephens on 3, JWP only has 2 assists !!! Edit - Went off on a tangent on PL assists this season. De Bruyne with 16 is ridiculous but Buendia at Norwich with 7 in that team is pretty sweet and maybe worth a look if they go down

I would say he wins more headers because of our style of play not his heading ability. I would guess Stephens with his forward runs is always more advanced than Jan and when our forwards press and they hoof it long Jan is in prime position to head it as the CB further back and he has better sight of the ball.

Taarabt has just been playing champions League football with Benfica so Boufal probably hopes that happens

I'm not sure I buy that, veest offers no confidence when he is on the ball near our goal. I saw a lot of mistakes, but mainly it's his decision making. That 2nd goal, he can see he has no one on the LB side and his man has runoff him into the channel. Hate to say it but both veest and hoj for me aren't worth either their record transfer fee or a big fat new contract in the summer. Also Ings decision making in the first 2mins to leave that ball [emoji849] good job he scores for fun.

Stephens was probably our best midfielder tho

We need a world class capable young midfielder to play the Naby Keita role to really help us win the 4-2-2-2- think PJH can't do it and I'd take the money in the summer given contract and his ability to play that role. Fullbacks need to be assessed and 1 good CB.

To be honest our transfer windows are non existent over the last few ones. Until we move out the rubbish we can't buy.

It is ironic we been so brow beaten over the course of the previous 4/5 transfer windows I've not see any good rumours, I can't even be bothered to check myself and we all hope in the summer will be our big push. But we've been here every summer and we never have our hopes exceeded, we struggle to try and get someone that a championship club could buy. To quote the youth of today, its jokes.

Am ambivalent about KWP, we already have too many hyphenated players and not sure if our squad can take another.

Name me 1 player who every now and again plays in a completely different position that they were recruited for? He's doing a job and is a young guy whose played CB marking lewodanski etc and did ok. I'm all for judging people but be fair.

Would of preferred they get 1 good player in now than 3 average ones then, we are on a good run but the fundamental issues around our ability to play hassenball with these players effectively still remain. Our priority HAS TO BE to ship out the players not needed (Hoedt. Forster etc etc ) in the summer (paging the player transfer expert), free up wage space and purchase 3 to 4 players specifically to fit our system, they dont need to be names but their profile needs to be perfect for hassenball.

Yes if we have netted out all our player transfers with outgoings in the last 5 years what has the roughly 100mil a year in tv money etc gone each year ?

Must just be me but I thought Danso did a good job as right back in a weird position in a game he would be rusty for. He was the out ball, some good crosses, header from corner and aggressive in defence. Thought as a team we'd reverted back to October. Very slow build up play from defenders to midfielders. Not sure if quick forward passes arent a JWP or Romeu thing or they'd been told to move it to the wings. Anyway a easy win and good to see young guys scoring.
