  1. I heard we were bringing someone in, ex-Man City. Glad it isn't Garry Cook.
  2. Played for Watford and was number two to Gary Johnson and Steve Coppell in his brief spell. Promoted to City's manager and... Not doing so well.
  3. Keith Millen, Steve Cotterill and Steve McClaren all to be sacked tomorrow?
  4. TheBig_Sam notBigSam What a ****ing joke. I'm away here to order another couple of pizzas. I'll eat myself to death to spite these useless bastards.
  5. THAT is why Claus recommended Huseklepp to the Skates! officialpompey Portsmouth FC Goal!! #Pompey 2 Peterborough 3 (Huseklepp OG 90 +5)
  6. Brighton - that's what happens when you play like Dagenham & Redbridge. Not that I'd know anything about that, being a Southampton fan.
  7. Wowsers. Some good scorelines!
  8. Sussex police reporting disturbances between Palace and Brighton fans.
  9. Yes you're not the only person I've heard say that. We'll see. That's not important right now, October will be a HUGE month. West Ham, Derby and Middlesbrough all to come over those four weeks.
  10. Makes you wonder what's going on though. Last season they were an awful team on paper, or at least, what was left of their squad on the opening day was awful, yet they managed to get some good results and finish in a respectable league position despite their problems. Now? They've got their wonderful Russian owners, they've bought some players, they're much more settled and they're just not any good. Fine by me though, I'd love to see a Saints win at Fratton Park!
  11. 12,000 at Fratton today. Great support.
  12. Some selected Twitter highlights: TheBigSam: "A cheeky Dominos 'Two for Tuesday' at half-time will give me the strength I need to defeat these tractor-loving ****s. Bring it." Jonathan Stevenson (Ex-BBC, Forest fan) "FML. Just saw a lorry with "O'Neill transport" on the side. Taxi for McClaren, ideally. This cannot be happening"
  13. CB Fry - I've read my McNae's. A journalist is at risk if their reports are not fair, accurate or contemporaneous. You are indeed right, the defamation act applies. Legod Third Coming - My point was that journalists cannot say whatever they want. Far, far from it. As for him being unprofessional, I think he was. Absolutely. Why should he get involved? But this whole scenario of Cortese vs Le Tissier is. I'm not going to take sides in it and I would hope that many take the same attitude towards it. I hope Cortese and Le Tissier sort it out one day. No I'm not. And when did I say my hero was Nicola Cortese? I have time for both parties, and I think they're fast becoming as bad as each other.
  14. That really is rich coming from you.
  15. When did I say it is against the law for a journalist to be unfair and inaccurate? I said that the law dictates that a journalist cannot say whatever they want. Sorry, I'll say it in a language you understand. C*nt c*nt c*nt. Big and clever isn't it?
  16. It's about facts and opinions. In Littlejohn's opinion, the death penalty should be brought back. When someone says it is fact that something is happening and it's not, that's when the law gets involved. I can't write that someone is a child molester when they aren't. My point stands, we cannot say what we like. As for should Stelling be subjected to the same rules and expectations as a political commentator, yes he should.
  17. Interesting. Who should we have bought, why, how much should we have spent on them? I ask since you're such an expert. Whilst I'm there, what numbers should I choose for the lottery this weekend? Your prediction of 17th is one you've had for a while, and it's quite precise, so I'm guessing you can see into the future.
  18. Anyone see it today? I got a good look from my trains to and from Waterloo today.
  19. I'm going to use your rules to reply to this point. What you don't know about journalism could fill a warehouse. There is such a thing called the LAW. The law states that journalism must be 'fair, accurate and contemporaneous'. To suggest we can say whatever we want about whatever we want is incredibly stupid.
  20. Indeed, I'm on my third or fourth referral now...!
  21. I once had both glandular fever and mumps at the same time. The NHS decided after I answered 'yes' to about 20 questions, the other 18 being 'no', that I had swine flu. I ignored their advice to keep myself locked in my room and get someone to buy me Tamiflu, went to an out of hours clinic at Winchester hospital. Quite some achievement given how ill I was, as it was some 30 miles from Bournemouth where I was studying. It was only then that I was correctly diagnosed. The reason I was immediately being shoved in the direction of Tamiflu was because that the year before during the swine flu outbreak, the NHS had received more of the drug than they could shift and it was about to expire. They were trying to clear their stocks as fast as they could and give it to anyone with a slight cough or headache. So no. Not thank goodness for the NHS. I've got problems with my sinuses and they've been a pain in the arse about it ever since it was first diagnosed last December. I'm still waiting for help in fact.
  22. I think this entire thing is pathetic and both sides need to take a long look at themselves. However, this whole 'Pardew was sacked because he wasn't a yes man' thing... If Adkins is a 'yes man', then it's fine by me. Our 'yes man' is doing quite alright.
  23. This thread is pointless and achieves nothing. A lot like the feud between Nicola and Le Tiss. Nice one Dune.
  24. That makes it okay does it? Couldn't care less if he was right or wrong, I wouldn't ever take someone's point seriously if they spoke like that. For the record, I think the Club should welcome back former players and managers, especially if they are as successful as Le Tiss and Lawrie were, but it should be on the Club's terms and not the individuals.
  25. Really no need at all for that kind of language CB Fry, think you owe us an apology. I take it you didn't go to a finishing school or work in PR? I'd hope not anyway.
