Souness did indeed have a property in Shawford, not sure if he does anymore. Nigel lives in Winchester, I've seen him once or twice in the cathedral grounds.

That's great, thank you! I know GameFAQs do top ten lists and such, that's a nice thing to mention.

I've got a job interview at IGN coming up. I use the site a little bit for games, but I'd like to know a bit more about it. If you use the website, what do you like about it? What do you use it for? Anything you can tell me would be great. Cheers!

I did indeed - highlights with all the goals, chances and saves worthy of note added up to eight minutes or so which is far longer than the BBC can allow. The terrible miss by a Birmingham player towards the end isn't in there for example. That was in the eight minute version, as were one or two of Kelvin's point blank saves.

Those highlights have been on a supreme diet. The original cut was over eight minutes long, there was just so much to squeeze into it.

Is that where the night officer is watching it in his office? If so then I don't think so, no.

Nope, stays loyal to the book, but obviously scenes in the TV adaptation that were once half an hour long are now one or two minutes. There's also a christmas party scene which isn't in the book but it adds to it I think. Oh and Guillem and Prideaux have one slight change.

Hooiveld was solid today, kept King well out of it. More of the same please!

There will be a whopping eight minutes of highlights on the BBC website soon. You can thank me later.

Which part do you disagree with?

Exactly my thoughts.

He had a bad relationship with Solent as soon as he took the job - in his first interview he said something along the lines of he knew they'd crucify him whatever he did. His reputation in recent years has been built upon winning League Two with Notts County - he only had a few games in which to do it, and in fairness he did a good job. That was the year I was at Bournemouth and the football Bompey and in particular Rochdale were playing, it wasn't an easy task for County but he did it. I'm beginning to wonder if he's out of his depth at the fishy few, but as I said previously, he did a good job last season. They could have easily gone down again but at times they were looking at the play-offs.

He did pretty damn well last season, for his sake I hope that counts for something this season. He is getting a bit desperate though, he defended his team last week and their disciplinary 'problem', yet a Hammers supporting friend of mine was at the game and said his team were a bunch of animals. He always manages to turn against the interviewer too. He will always find something. He's an awfully bitter chap.

I'd like to point out that there's a difference between calling him what he is, which in my opinion is a pile of sh*te, and holding a grudge.

Skates down to ten men. Ha ha ha.

Hooray, 1 - 0 to Hull

He's just scored.

DMG is being brought in to replace Clinton Morrison. Gary Megson hasn't got a bloody clue.

Just back from seeing it. Make sure you have a comfortable seat, you'll be there for a while. Takes a good long time to get going - I'd say you need to do a bit of research before you go as well, because I've seen the TV adaptation and this still managed to confuse me. It's a very good film though, very good indeed.

You know what? I did actually think of his name. My first ever away game, he was one-on-one and blew it spectacularly. I've never forgiven him for it, though if I remember rightly he made up for it later. He's not doing too badly at Charlton either.

Off to see it tonight with my old man who grew up during the cold war, read the books and watched the TV adaptation. £19.50 for two tickets in Winchester. Disgraceful. Still, the last film we saw together was The Matrix Revolutions. Can only get better really.

The 1990s Beatles Tribute Act? No thanks.
