Would I be right in thinking that chanrai needs the CVA very soon, because he can't get any trasfer fees that they receive out of the company whilst in admin?

Tommy Smith would be a great player to have. Maybe we could lighten the skates wage bill by taking him on a free. -
Quite. The only reason they can even contemplate a £10m PA budget is because they will be stuck with AT LEAST half a dozen players on daft wages who they simply cannot shift. And as for the idea of footballers taking voluntary pay reductions.......................... anyone know when that last happened? BTW, wouldn't mind taking Tommy Smith and his wages off their outgoings.

I am absolutely convinced that the tories had this scenario worked out ages ago, and are now implementing a well thought out and very clever plan. For a long time now the lib dems have been polling heavily. On day it was inevitable that they would get the balance of power. Labour probably made a lazy assumption that when that day came, the LDs would jump in with them, in return for AV. Cameron etc realised that this time round, if they failed to get a majority, and with AV very much on the labour agenda, that they could easily have faced the nightmare scenario of the "progressive majority" and another generation in opposition. So Plan B for Cameron was to do the whole thing in one fell swoop. He grabbed power,(and gave the libs what they haven't had for 70 years) did voting reform the least bad way, (and to his own timetable and taste), and into the bargain neutralised th hard right. You got to admit, its a beautiful plan from where they sit. Admitedly they can't make jokes about the LD's in cabinet meetings now, but you can't have everything.

Eddie Howe might be interested in a few of those. Pity they didn'y publish AP's shopping list !!!

so storrie is still there, identifying players to bring in.Unbelievable. If I was a creditor I would really want to know Why is storrie ANYWHERE near the club(being paid as a consultant) Why is there a new CEO ?(presumably being paid) Why isn't everything being sold as quickly as possible to raise funds? This is the legal duty of the administrator, isn't it?

I agree about NC. Won't be popular for saying it,but I think he will make decisions we don't like soon enough. I expect ticket prices to soar once the opportunity is there. The staff car parking quote in his interview was quite revealing, I thought.

Surman back on a one year loan would be a fantastic move all round, IMO
-
He's PL quality. don't know about his injuries, and I think I have heard bits about his attitude, but a really talented player.
-
last I looked, (any time in the last 40 years) the conservatives looked after their own ("our people" as maggie said), cut taxes for the rich, and didn't give a stuff about unemployment as it keeps the workers grateful to have a jo at all. Thats what they will do if they get in. Beats me why any normal person on a footy website would want that to happen, but its a free country.............if not, with murdoch in charge, a free press.
-
although, given the level of support shown by cup final sales and turnouts for PL games, this may amount to only a fairly small hill of beans. Is the creditors meeting still on for thursday?
-
the second goal against Yeovil at home. Well maybe not, but it was a start !!
-
oh I don't know. I mean it now makes absolute sense for CCC clubs to beg steal and borrow(like the new seekers !!) beyond any sensible limits, in order to sneak one season in the PL. They can then treble their ST prices and happily finish their one season in the PL on about 9 points safe in the knowledge that they can pocket tens of millions each season for 4 years for doing absolutely nothing. Now that really is in the spirit of the worlds greatest game. I wonder if mr Platini would have views on this. Should work wonders for the quality of corporate governance in the beautiful game..
-
it would be nice to compile a list of all these "loan signings " and free transfers, and see how much they cost.(or would have cost had they been paid for". Its certainly not the chicken feed we have been led to believe.....
-
What they are about to rediscover after the 7 long years in the PL is that once you are out of the PL absolutely nobody in football, or at least the media world of football, cares at all. As far as most fans and journos are concerned, "Who is the biggest team in Hampshire?" is a non question until the next time Saints and poopey slug it out on a live sky PL match. Just count the numbers in the press box first game at farton or SMS next season.

chanrai can get the money from players sales. Though if I were him I wold be worried about ending up as the owner of a club with a big wage bill, and a bunch of "hard to sell" players on very big salaries. He could easily end up subsidising a CCC campaign. Just look at the trouble we had moving Skacel and Rasiak. Wayne Thomas is STILL a Saint!!
-
That is the kind of figure being suggested by that journo on twitter recently. Does your calculation include player sales?
-
if they think that their current team has really been bought for nothing, just wait till they find out what CCC income with no parachutes buys them...........
-
If they priced some ST's at £287.50 that would be £ 12.5 0 per game. which would fit in nicely with the anniversary !!
-
as it goes I have three kids, I have a ST, I bought my son a young adult ST this season, and since they were six I regularly took both my sons when they were juniors and teenagers. (and in the PL that meant about £70 a game !!)The prices i suggested were just that, because I couldn't find this seasons actual prices as they are now off the OS. My point , if you read both posts, was that it IS a great idea to encourage families- and that prices should be kept low. My point was just that it might not be a good idea to encourage people to take up kids ST's just because they are almost free, when some people might do so JUST to get access to big game tix, and might not actually use the kids ST very often. The actual maths of it might be tricky, hence one suggestion to give very cheap child add ons for match by match sales. I am certainly NOT in favour of big price rises for families, and dO want to see young fans encouraged to SMS.
-
Well....just as a suggestion Adult ST in the family enclosure £250. Add a child for £100.(or enough to discourage people from taking up the child ticket on the chance of a ticket for a big game). Adult and child for £350 works out at around £15 for an adult and a child per game. OR just make a child "add on" for single match very cheap- say £2.
-
As a bit of a side issue, I think the club should rethink the adult/child pair prices. After the rush for wembley tix, its possible that people will take up the "almost free" child option just to get one more ST number. (don't know if you could "upgrade" to adult for Wembley though). Anyway, I am all for a great dealt bring kids along - just needs to be done sensibly. And a properly run membership scheme needs reintroducing.
-
Reckon this pretty much the plan. However, if the offer to creditors really is a few pence in the pound, most will surely take their chance in liquidation- if they can raise the 25% to black the CVA.
-
So why have portpin given the admins a £15m loan facility?( especially since we are led to believe that this is all about chanrai getting his supposed £17m back ?)
-
maybe I missed it, but presumably poopey are still due some installments on players they have sold? or were all recent deals done for cash?
