I worked in Piccadilly and lived in Finchley then Osterley for about 20 years, often bumped into saints fans surprisingly. Had a few drinks with Kevin Davies when he was with us in the long island tea shop just off from Covent Garden. -

AP would be mad to walk away just at a time when he is putting HIS side together at what could be a very bright future at SFC. Cortese would be an absolute loon for showing AP the door right now. So much good has been done by both parties,i would be fecking furious if a spanner was put in the works. Stability, is the key. We have not had that for an age,and look where that got us. Bloody foolish for AP to go now,if it were too happen, for all concerned. IMO.

Some seem happy with this 'result' And even planning their European assault, business as usual for them..... "Get to the final and of course if the other finalist has already qualified it would stick us in Europe. This could be really important in attracting players as we will likely be in a relegation battle all next season (-15 points if were lucky)

Businessman Balram Chainrai, the owner of Portsmouth Football Club, has today served notice that the club will go into administration unless new owners can be found by Friday (February 26). Mr Chainrai and fellow investors from his Portpin investment vehicle are in London to continue talks with representatives of four different groups interested in buying the club, but have had to reluctantly accept that it is now unlikely a deal can be done before a winding-up hearing, due to be heard in the High Court on Monday. Their spokesman, Phil Hall, said: “There is now only a short window of opportunity for buyers to come in with a credible offer. We have to be realistic and having the club wound up is not an option as far as we are concerned. “They are the victims of circumstance, having injected funds in the form of a short-term loan to the Al Faraj Group, who subsequently invested the money in the club. “The partners have put £17m of their own money into the club and have a responsibility to ensure Portsmouth Football Club survives. “Administration would mean the club re-emerging as a healthy financial entity. The club would then become an attractive proposition for a potential buyer who could invest new funds in rebuilding the club’s future. “We would like to ask the fans, the staff and management of Portsmouth Football Club for their support and patience should this step be taken, as they believe it is the only route left open to them. “The serving of this notice means the winding-up order is automatically suspended. It means the club is safe, it can fulfil its fixtures and as far as is possible it is business as usual. “Mr Chainrai hopes the supporters will get fully behind the team as usual for their Premier League match at Burnley on Saturday and the following weekend’s FA Cup quarter-final at home to Birmingham. “Mr Chainrai has agreed to continue funding the club going forward until its long-term future is decided. He will also pay for the administration process out of his own pocket.”

The service of this notice means therfore the HMRC hearing is suspended, the club is safe and will fulfill it's fixtures. All according to a statement from Chanarais spokesperson and PFC.

SSN...Chanarai confirms PFC will go into Admin by friday if no takeover/investment is completed

SSN have just been speaking to one of their correspondents in the studio.. Talks are still ongoing and that they went on until 2am and will resume later today. After speakig to insolvency experts they see no other outcome but PFC going into Admin or even liquidation due to the amount of debt and the timescale they have to conclude a deal with a satisfactory conclusion for all parties concerned. Would anyone really want to buy them anyway? The HMRC are DESPERATE TO PUT THEM INTO LIQUIDATION. All according to SSN. I have no idea who the insolvency 'experts' were.
