Saints 0-0 Barnsley - Reaction/Doughnuts/Lucy Pinder Thread
saint lard replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Just got back, what a shower of shi7e that was. Devoid of ideas, tactical nous, skill and no ability to pass a ball. No surprise the attendances are so poor, and on this performance their is no evidence that things are going to improve. This is going to be a long and tough season ahead. -

When i usesd to travel down from London for the games i would venture into The Square Balloon,i think it's just Squares or something now,and it was pretty ok,clean, plenty of space. Now when i have gone in they are constantly out of beer, cider and alike. This was usually put down to running out on the Friday night,**** poor organisation if you ask me,it isn't difficult to work out how may 11's or 22's you are going to require to get you through until the next delivery.Oh and i'ts bloody filthy. So today i will venture to my usual gaff the Eagle.

I wonder also if the first signs of derision will be displayed either during the match, which we know is counter productive,or post match if we are on the wrong end of the result. I am really looking forward to this today, vital we get 3 point for varying reasons, not just to make the table a better read. I will certainly be edging towards glass half empty if we come away with nothing. What next? not sure what can be done with what seems to be copius retraints put on the club at present. We,the supporters, will probably do what we do best, moan, and IMO we will have every right to.

The sun is out,i am in a bouyant mood, hence i predict a 3-1 Saints victory. I hope my mood is just as positive after the full time whistle.

Agreed,but perhaps a nessessary evil,but that's another story...

IMO,we are clutching at straws reference Killers Knee,he trained Thursday but was unable to train yesterday due to problems with the aforementioned Knee. This tells me that the club and he are just prolonging the inevietable,he can't carry on playing every other game let alone the rigours of training followed by a competitive game. This is of no use to him or the club. All IMO.

I don't want JP to go,let's get that straight, but the question was would i want Davies, the answer would be yes. I love the fact we have some home grown nippers playing their hearts out for the shirt,we are trying to play football the "right way",and i admire that and give them my full backing. I have enjoyed seeing some lovely passing and intricate movement off the ball,JP knows how to achieve this type of play and hats off to him. He seems a very down to earth "tell it how it is "bloke, which is refreshing. The thing is ,and this is the crux of the matter IMO,Davies knows the league,he knows what it takes to win games ,however unpalatable that way may be. Win games, climb the table, bums on seats.more revenue and progress is made on and off the pitch. And for those who don't like the bloke, having a love in with the gaffer of you're club dosen't effect results, love them or hate them if the results are favourable thats just dandy by me. So i reiterate,i like JP and what he is trying to achieve, along with the squad, but at this moment in time success is measured by results and the results are not good. Now before everyone starts bleating "we couldn't afford him" or "we haven't got the players to suit his style" ..i know that and you know that. Once again the question was Billy Davies anyone? well think about the answer long and hard.....it will be dependent on if you are happy the way things are at present. I will now go back into my jar.

Good to see a Hampshire team performing.
-
Scotland,Northern Ireland,Republic Of Ireland and Wales have agreed to stage This tournament from 2011. Can't help feeling We have missed out,i used to love the regular "Home Nations" matches.
-
Yes please, i wanted him to take over from Burley.

Lowe was invited to be interviewd by Solent tonight,he declined the offer. Merrington being quite harsh with reference the lack of vocal support for the team and encouragement for the fans from him and especially the football chairman Wilde. JP,quite pleased with the first 20 mins, then dismayed with players not fullfiling their duties. He states he is happy with the point. He sounded not a happy bunny, sounded quite negative,no spirit,no confidence shown from the team. Maybe he has just worked out how difficult the task is he faces.
-
The term "got out of jail" perhaps is appropriate,IMO
-
Merrington thinks Mcgoldrick should swap with BWP,and go out wide with Phillips playing off Pekhart up front. I tend to agree.
-
I will ask the question again, would you take the draw now?
-
It is,Lallana oneside,BWP the other .Mcgoldrick and Pekhart up top. All according to Solent,Merrington has been gagging for this formation!!
-
And there it is fookin 4,4,2 and we score,Pekhart.
-
Hooray..4,4,2 at last.
-
Really should go two up front.
-
We are a club in dissaray,on and off the pitch.IMO.
