  1. ******s. We have winnable games coming up and Liverpool are shiite.
  2. You put the mockers on that!
  3. 130 very hard KM today. Real hard. Don't know why but I'm f**ked after that. Had a 'mare going up a very sharp 17% 400m bank. Plenty of rear wheel spin which resulted in me having to unclip sharpish to avoid falling off. Ended up having to do 100m walk of shame. The weather was all over the place, from fog which was so thick we couldn't see 50m to glorious sunshine and everything in between. Couple of flat, fast 40km night rides planned for the week and a flat, fast and furious 100km next Sunday.
  4. If it's in the Star it must be true.
  5. Big Vic has gone up a level.
  6. I should point you all to "The Rules". http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/
  7. Plenty up here, including the Corkscrew, which is cobbled, averages 20%+ and tops out at 45%. http://club.v-sprint.com/cheshire-cobbled-classic/
  8. What have you bought? I was going to get the new Merckx SanRemo76 but I got a semi over the new Bianchi Oltre XR1 Athena with Campag Eurus wheels. One of them will be my new summer bike but my current bike will be doing Flanders.
  9. Dorset & Ironbridge. Training for Flanders starts in earnest tomorrow. 130km with lots of 1-2km ramps of 10%. We've even got some cobbles!
  10. What the man said could have quite easily come the election literature of UKIP and whilst I'll happily accept the issue of housing in London it simply isn't true in the rest of the UK. My experience of Europeans in the UK, and my next door neighbours are Slovak and at the back of us they are Poles, is of hard working folk building a better lives for their kids. I have a far, far, far bigger beef about the uncontrolled immigration from the sub-continent during the Blair years.
  11. That was a party political broadcast on behalf of the UK Independence Party.
  12. Stop being so utterly childish. The simple fact is the world we live in is a global marketplace with millions of Europeans living and working in other countries. Only the feeble minded little Englanders associate that with "taking our jobs". My kids are growing up in a world where living and working overseas is considered normal. My wife and I will take advantage of the right to move and buy property in Europe and again many see that as utterly normal. As far as those who don't, there opinion isn't worth a lot to me anyway.
  13. We live in a global economy. Deal with it.
  14. Don't confuse my love of the European ideal with that of the EU as a political entity. I love the former and despair of the latter.
  15. I love the fact that my kids, as well as me when they've left home, are free to live and work anywhere in the EU with no hassles. Long may that continue.
  16. Is it really that hard to man up and admit you were simply wrong?
  17. The bitter bed wetters are clearly struggling to get over how wrong they've been proved.
  18. Pap, you're on fire today.
  19. So what did he wreck?
  20. Nowt but some folk still appear so bitter after being hung from their own petard by their utterances through the summer that they are still happy to make fools of themselves.
  21. He was right though.
  22. Brilliant.
