  2. Of someone violently evicts me from my home and moves my family into the shed at the bottom of the garden and then isolates me from the rest of the world I may well get ****sed off and throw stones at the windows. If the aggressor then decides the response is to kill my kids by blowing up the shed is that an proportionate response?
  3. I remember queuing up for hours so I could get right behind the goal. For the game I remember nothing but always stuck with me as an agreed 0-0.
  4. A genuine legend at Saints. Best £1m we ever spent IMHO.
  5. Apparently somewhere on the edge on London, thankfully after I'd passed through, the sewers were overflowing so people were literally riding through shiit. Marianna Vos rode the route. Here is her Strava. http://www.strava.com/activities/178137763
  6. After riding in a monsoon yesterday, including some fast descents (topped out at 92kmph) I can see why disc brakes are coming to road bikes. I have them on my hybrid and they stop you! Mine were marsh mellowish yesterday.
  7. Depends on what Mavic wheels they are TBF. You'll not go wrong with a Cube nor buying from a LBS. They'll always look after you.
  8. Friend of mine who started 60mins later than me had a 45min delay, in the storm, due to a landslide. It really was that bad.
  9. Thank you very much indeed.
  10. Completed the London Ride today in biblical weather. I have never seen rain like it, plus hail, wind and proper thunder storms. Roads were under water and the descending was so dangerous that they wouldn't let us take on Leith Hill. Had to stop twice to allow ambulances through as people binned their bikes on the downhills and then got a rear puncture on a downhill myself. Those delays cost me 10/15mins but still posted a time on 4hr 19mins for 141km. Just shy of £1000 raised. http://www.strava.com/activities/178157881
  11. One of my riding mates had a crack in his (2013 model). Local Cube dealer got it sorted for a 2014 model and the bike was then ebayed and replaced with a Specialized Tarmac. Other crack, bottom bracket, was a rider from work. They got theirs swapped easily enough as well. Good looking bikes IMHO.
  12. Decent bike although I know of 2 that have had cracked frames. Warranty is only 3 years.
  13. No matter what has previously happened, the club can't and shouldn't back down over Morgan.
  14. Apart from the all the transfers in our 1st season up and last years signings as well. Still, don't let the facts get in the way of your NC wannkfest.
  15. You can't possibly be as thick as you come across.
  16. We've all been there.
  17. Last ride done, a slow 75km with the Mrs so now it's London on Sunday and the forecast is looking grim. Thanks so very much to all those who have donated. You've all been incredibly generous. If you'd like to donate http://www.justgiving.com/Davidride100 or text DCWA66 with the amount £1, £2, £5 or £10 to 70070.
  18. Which is exactly what has happened. Most of us can recall the bedwetting before Shaw signed a pro-contract when it was clear Chelsea were wooing player and parents. Deal is struck between player/agent/parents/club which keeps everyone happy until that clause is activated.
  19. Perhaps the company are happy with the deal but the club want their 25% up front.
  20. So if we offer €16m cash we get him by the sounds of it.
  21. Shaw and Chambers both had release clauses. Unless the players themselves are lying to their fellow England players and coaches. I'd been saying about Shaw going for £27m since September/October and had also said that Arsenal were after Chambers and had been for ages but the fee and timing came out of the blue and the club could do nothing, hence the statement about doing everything to keep the young players, which in the case of Chambers, appears to be true. JWP has the same clause but has said he's not going anywhere. Take or leave it as you like.
  22. I direct you to Rule #5 . http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/
  23. I believe that Reed is still in Portugal but that's not 100%.
  24. I appreciate that you're a bedwetting muppet with a limited grasp of reality but we've offered €12m and they want €16m.
