After riding in a monsoon yesterday, including some fast descents (topped out at 92kmph) I can see why disc brakes are coming to road bikes. I have them on my hybrid and they stop you! Mine were marsh mellowish yesterday.

Completed the London Ride today in biblical weather. I have never seen rain like it, plus hail, wind and proper thunder storms. Roads were under water and the descending was so dangerous that they wouldn't let us take on Leith Hill. Had to stop twice to allow ambulances through as people binned their bikes on the downhills and then got a rear puncture on a downhill myself. Those delays cost me 10/15mins but still posted a time on 4hr 19mins for 141km. Just shy of £1000 raised. http://www.strava.com/activities/178157881

One of my riding mates had a crack in his (2013 model). Local Cube dealer got it sorted for a 2014 model and the bike was then ebayed and replaced with a Specialized Tarmac. Other crack, bottom bracket, was a rider from work. They got theirs swapped easily enough as well. Good looking bikes IMHO.

Decent bike although I know of 2 that have had cracked frames. Warranty is only 3 years.
