  1. The Nazi salute thing is tricky. Matt Slatter was getting loads of sh.it from Rangers fans about an interview he did with a broadcaster in the States where they (the US) confused the Red Hand salute with the Nazi salute and both Roma and Lazio ultras have been hauled up after Roman salutes were confused with Nazi salutes and Roma fans aren't right wing like some Lazio ultra groups.
  2. We all know that there are problems with racism in Eastern Europe and we all know the BBC will edit Panorama to fit their brief so as with most things, the truth will be somewhere in the middle.
  3. It was never him they were interested in, it was DH. Howe views him as perfect for helping his young players.
  4. Fair summary I reckon.
  5. Sharp was totally different. His Mrs was expecting, they knew the issue with their unborn & his Mrs didn't want to move until afterwards. I wouldn't have moved in that situation either and I'm a 'kin Saints fan!
  6. Let's hope that NC's powers of persuasion are good as the lad really doesn't want to move.
  7. Looks like we are going to bite the bullet and renew and then "sell", at their face value, our tickets for those home games we can't make. Thanks to those who have offered use of their tickets for away games, really appreciated.
  8. Yep, as close to a confession as you're likely to get. If you cannot fathom why those of us who stuck by our club through all the sh.it times feel utter contempt for those so called "fans" who are only interested now we are back in the EPL then you clearly don't have a clue about what being a fan is supposed to be about. Does going through the relegation's, administration & L1 make us better fans than those who deserted Saints? Fu.cking right it does.
  9. Someone seems very touchy on the subject of plastic wan.kers who walked away during the dark years.
  10. Totally. Most Saints fans appear to be totally fu.cking clueless.
  11. If they can't get the high wage earners off their books, which the HMRC defeat over the FCR means they can't, they could be more fu.cked than I thought! TBH salary is roughly 40% of their planned salary total for 2012/13 season!
  12. Birch, their administrator is desperately trying to get them all off the payroll but with HMRC losing the FCR case Ben Haim and others are in no rush. Ben Haim has another year left of his contract, that's £2m and their wage budget, in total, for next season has been set at £5m.
  13. I have similar issues regarding evening games so I'll "sell" my season tickets for the games I can't do at face. Saves seller and buyer money.
  14. Their manager recently did an interview where he said the average age of the squad will be around 23/24. They also have the colossal issue of getting their wage bill down to 65% of turnover otherwise they'll be hit with more sanctions.
  15. Renewals - Itchen Premium £695, Kingsland Premium £675, Centres £625, Ends £575 & Family £495 + £100 per U11. New season tickets - Itchen Premium £780, Kingsland Premium £720, Centres £670, Ends £600 & Family £555 + £100 per U11. Saturday's lottery numbers to follow shortly.
  16. The family centre hasn't been that bad actually & I would suggest that as the U11 tickets have to be now paid for only the kids really into it will go so the very young kids will no longer be there.
  17. Working in the Black Country means wanting to beat WBA, living in Stafford means needing to beat Stoke. *nipper has just pointed out that Liverpool fans are seen more often than Stoke or Wolves despite those being the closest. However, I dream of di.cking L1 pompey and then listening to them bleat about how unfair it is having to face a EPL team after just being relegated and (another) administration despite them having a wan.kfest when they did it to us.
  18. For the pedantic co.cks I know we don't HAVE to change seats but I'm guessing I'm not the only person giving serious consideration to moving due to costs. Corky Morris, Hasper57Saint & I, along with the kids, will possibly be migrating from Block 16 to the Family Center, possibly Block 20. Got to say though, tempted by Blocks 2 & 3 as well but my nipper fancies 36 or 37 & & fu.ck the price!
  19. They are now on a month by month contract, paid in advance.
  20. Those who couldn't be ars.ed to go during the dark years are lesser fans than those who did. I find myself in a similar position as the OP in terms of games that I can get to. The price I'd have to pay for my nipper & I are fair for the EPL but as I can't make midweek or Sunday games I'm likely to miss a minimum of 5 games. I'm still tempted to get them and then "sell them" for the games I can't make.
  21. He's very much a home boy. He's never lived away from home and doesn't want to leave the area. He's Burnley through & through. That said, if it's the only top flight move on offer....
  22. Sharp didn't want to move with his partner going through a difficult pregnancy and with hindsight it was a sensible idea. JR has always said he doesn't want to move from the NW. He told the club, our club, his agent & the players at Burnley that.
  23. Greatly appreciated. My direct email is ST16SFC@gmail.com if you'd like to drop me a line.
