Saying Jose was great AFTER we've conceded three goals somewhat neither here nor there as the damage was done and, if I'm honest, Leicester didn't pose a threat, in my opinion, after the break. I guess those of us there to see it saw both our frailties and our strengths exposed for all to see but bar the 1st 20mins I really thought he played well and dealt with them. I said to me nipper that as long as we didn't concede again we'd get at least a point as we had played ourselves back into it and they were on the back foot IMHO. We will play a lot worse this season and win.

As a complete player he's clearly not as good as Matt and unless he plays at the highest level he'll never be able to be compared to him. However, his 1st touch is sublime and his feet are faster than Matt's were. As I said, his close control is the best I've seen.

I thought him the weak link last season and the same this. L1 average is his standard. It was no accident that the Leicester tactics were to isolate and exploit Richardson, and it worked. This also pulled the CBs too far apart giving space for their midfield to charge into.

Matty could finish and as an all round player was wonderful but Lallana's close control, again, just so you can understand it, in my opinion, is better. Now, take a deep breath, let the family braincell absorb it, and move on.
