  1. Barrow-In-Furness in my experience.
  2. They only appear to abduct fat yanks from the boondocks. When it's a Nobel prize winner I'll take it seriously.
  3. We are not alone, of that I'm confident. As long as we're not seen as a tasty snack then I'm relaxed about "visitors".
  4. I agree 100%.
  5. It's Camerons "One is an ordinary chap" routine that many don't buy into. When he was on R4 saying how he sits around the kitchen table working out how to pay the monthly bills I nearly spat my tea out. Yeah, really hard Dave when your wife is worth £30million. Brown is an arse and he's the main reason I'll be deserting Labour for the 1st time ever but Cameron is a vacuous, lightweight, PR savvy, career politician chancer.
  6. They are the 2nd biggest party in Stoke and have been quite cunning in their targeting of wards so they may be in with a shout in Stoke Central or will at least finish 2nd.
  7. Good God. I'm old!
  8. Amen to that comrade.
  9. The BNP stand a chance in Dagenham but nowhere else except, perhaps, Stoke-On-Trent if they can focus on two seats at once. UKIP stand a chance nowhere at all.
  10. I treat everything any politicans says with the contempt it deserves. What was your favourite line comrade? I'm betting it's from Das Kapital.
  11. So he shouldn't have intervened then? That's fine, so why are you mithering then? I'm shocked at your interventionist, socialist bent.
  12. Behave yourself Johnny. Northern Rock was a private company and the government had no place interfering with its business model. Unless, of course, you are suggesting that government does intervene and demand business changes its way when the government doesn't like the way it's run? Never had your down as a socialist big government, big brother type.
  13. You do understand how deeply flawed that line of thinking is don't you are does someone need to draw you a picture?
  14. The point I was making is that it shouldn't matter what the parties want but what the electorate wants. Far too many are disconnected from politics and knowing that your vote is never going to be worth owt is hardly a way to re-connect them.
  15. I'm confussed here. Do you mean the government should have no more than 2 terms or the PM have no more than 2 terms?
  16. It's about Thatcherism, not Thatcher so in the context he has used he's correct.
  17. It does in the context that it is used in that post.
  18. Rubbish. It's not the parties that matter, it's the electorate. Far, far too many, of all political colours, are disenfranchised by the current system. Far too many live in constituencies where their vote doesn't matter and that can't be right.
  19. Correct.
  20. It's dirty Leeds. The new big stand.
  21. Nope. League club this time.
  22. The Toon or OT.
  23. Stafford Rangers.
