  1. Bless the little scamps, their eyes all lit up at the thought of mixing it with the big boys. Always good to see the minnows that we bailed out so many times doing well.
  2. Or a certain section of tory supporters.
  3. As much as it pains me to say it I'd love to see BoJo as opposition leader. It would certainly bring some colour back to a very, very dull tory front bench.
  4. True, but 99.99% will hit a ceiling which they can't push through. Not everyone can gain 5 GCSEs, not everyone can earn above the national average and not everyone can succeed no matter their willingness or effort.
  5. I'd say so but since the tories have been using "unfunded" as a stick to beat the others it does appear that the boot, at the moment, is on the other foot. It's all bol loxs anyway.
  6. I get the impression that they are starting to panic. I thought their campaign would be much sharper than it is but it has brought into focus how poor a front bench they have. So utterly dull and grey.
  7. We rode with 16,000 in Flanders last weekend on wet and muddy cobbles and in a howling wind on very narrow roads. Tests your spider senses and your spacial awareness that's for sure. Just find a pace line and jump on the back. We had 20 of us doing through and off for 10km on the flat heading towards the finishing line, was chuffing brilliant even if the orders were being barked out in Flemish.
  8. Nah. Club spin tomorrow and 1st race of the year on Sunday.
  9. I was agreeing with everything until your usual at immigrant rant.
  10. None of us put a shift in otherwise we wouldn't be on here during the day.
  11. Jeff seems to think having a pop at me for going to prison is some sort of low blow, when the reality is I don't give a sh it and haven't for years, where as he continues to prove himself an utterly clueless muppet.
  12. Nom nom. Yummy.
  13. Didn't know that. Interesting.
  14. He's a f**king idiot who is so removed from reality he might as well be Michael Gove.
  15. You need to go back to the pub, you're speaking sense.
  16. LOL at that.
  17. Take your time before jumping in and if the bug bites wave goodbye to your life as you know it now. And the 1st thing you'll upgrade will be the wheels. Fact.
  18. No chance. No point on putting top end components on a sh it frame.
  19. Go to your LBS and ask as many questions as you can.
  20. I guess it depends on what sort of riding you do. I ride long, hard & often and have invested in a very good bike to achieve the goals I set myself. I'm not sure I'd like to do the ride I did yesterday, 100miles and 8000ft of climbing including 22% ramps and climbs of 3km at 8% average on a Carrera, which, incidentally, my wife rides.
  21. TBF he doesn't get any if it. He's not right bright.
  22. I'm not so sure. Very few, or at least those with an IQ above that of "utter ****", blame Labour because they're not blinkered. I think the same would be true if the tories had been in power. It was one of those events that any "non ****" can see that politicians couldn't stop from happening but could only work to limit the damage regardless of which party it was.
  23. Out of interest, assuming that it's another hung parliament, can Cameron survive having failed to win a GE twice despite being up against Gordon and now Ed?
  24. Epic ride today taking in 3 Tour of Britain King of the Mountain climbs. Solo 160km with 2500m climbing. Going to be sore later.
  25. You'd think the way the small minded right wingers are banging on about Labour and the left that the tories were nailed on for a majority. Thankfully the majority of the country have more sense.
