Not really. I'm very excited when we get to a cup final because it is an achievement. I'm excited when we make a big name signing and thrilled by a great performance or victory because we have actually done something. What is thrilling about being linked to a player that subsequently turns us down? Ramirez was an exciting signing.

The problem is they will have a black and white yes or no vote and then when it is people want to stay in they will use that to say that people want an ever closer union.

Couple of decent signings so far. Pretty happy with how things are going but will reserve judgement for a few weeks until I can see what other players we can get.

I see that their 'bespoke' kit featuring a wave to emphasise their naval history is in fact a copy of Dagenham's current kit. Causing quite a stir amongst pompey fans. Also another debate about the fact that season ticket holders can buy two tickets before anyone else for cup games. Seems mightily unfair...
