Last time the slowness is what got people's hopes up that we were keeping players which obviously didn't happen. I hope this time we lose them all a bit earlier rather than all at once near the end of the window.

Maybe it was that bloke who someone said on here turned us down.

Serious question - are women's penalty shootout always so crap because they have less power to strike a dead ball? Or was that just particularly terrible?

Firstly you don't know we haven't had bids and secondly that's an irrelevance surely. There could be bids for them all tomorrow. Correct me if wrong but most of our best players went in August last time.

I'd be surprised if most of Ramsdale Fernandes THB Bednarek Weren't off. Possibly Dibling as well who seemed like the most likely to leave at one point. Most of them would be likely starters for me.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

I was thinking more about your Thai bride. -

Doubt I'll wear it much other than for a run. I'll probably end up buying the away kit when it's discounted later in the year. Like you say it does the job I'm just surprised Chinese stores bother to stock them.
-
Not sure it's wonky but the other stuff is probably true.

I got medium which I normally buy and it fitted perfectly. Just going to use it when I go running.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Nic will be delighted. -
I have to say I really am a fan of the kits this year. Much better than the generic slop we usually ship out. Nothing perfect but then it never is.

I'm not aware it's a secret, simply factual like hair colour or height.

Wasn't there an interview (maybe Alfie house) where he said the club were going to put a deadline on players leaving to try to prevent that?
-
Why would that be something to be ashamed of? Plenty of successful people are.
-
Based on the fact I know someone who knows his family.

Wasn't there someone from Colchester we missed out on? Or am I misremembering?

Yeah it's not going to happen and almost insurmountable without a load of luck and being able to spend big. Once you stay up life should become much easier

It's the only realistic chance you have. Maybe you can get lucky with a couple of younger players. Say we kept for example Dibling, Downes, Fernandes and THB (unlikely but let's imagine). Under a Still system and with a bit more experience they might be good enough for the prem. You'd then look to sign a starting gk, rb, CB, lb, cm, lm and striker. Maybe 150-200 million and cross your fingers that another prem team implodes and that you beat the two teams who come up with you so you finish 17th. It's unlikely but that's the only chance you have under this system.
-
Precisely. All this stuff about having to sign players who can only play in the division higher is a load of nonsense. You wouldn't possibly be able to afford that so you need a mix. Maybe 4 first team players who could be good prem players and the rest get binned or maybe squad players at best. 7 or 8 prem starters needed once you get promotion.

I think Tyler Dibling is on the autistic spectrum and struggles with change. He probably needs to be handled in a very specific way.

TBF he was one of the best I was his position last season in the Championship. I'd say THB and Downes were the top championship performers last time out and it's undeniable they were superb. We need players of at least that quality.
