  1. Dont be silly. Saying he looks good before seeing him is just as sensible as saying he looks bad. Nothing wrong at all with making judgements before you have seen a player.
  2. Yes there is also that factor. Having not played in English football it may take a while to adjust when we don't really have time.
  3. Or even give Adam a rest from time to time like de ridder has been. Competition in all positions could be a good thing.
  4. Looks decent. Do you have some attributes? Pacy? To play alongside Lambert? Or just a winger?
  5. Hope he is what we need. Do you know who he is so we can check him out?
  6. Not sure why you have to keep referring to me. I have posted numerous times that I posted in that thread out of frustration when it looked like only a miraculous run would get us to promotion (which is then what we had.) You then decided to say that I wanted the club to fail. I don't think that subsequent posts (including my argument with Alpine yesterday) has backed up your view in any way. A better man would apologise.
  7. Yes I think this could be a possibility too. You have to say we have done amazingly well getting the best out of what we have.
  8. I haven't been on one of these in ages as I've been to every game. Jesus Alpine is worse than he was a few years ago.
  9. Haha hilarious. So your ridiculous overreaction is passion? Ok then.
  10. Even if it is, why are you so bothered? These sort of nights happen to every team.
  11. You are such a tool.
  12. That doesn't make any sense. Of course we are going to draw or lose games we should win. That's football and it happens to every team. Of course we want to win but if we don't then It's not the end of the world as I said. We will still be favourites to win the league.
  13. We have so far. If we fail to do it in one game it's not exactly the end of the world considering we are top of the league.
  14. Why do you always overreact? Even if we draw this game and have an off day it isn't the end of the world.
  15. He's been injured since Pompey hasnt he? With a broken toe?
  16. My source is a friend of lukas' who works for Southampton uni.
  17. I have heard we were never in for lukas. He is desperate to come to us and has been trying to get a move since we were in league one. We have turned him down every time.
  18. Get stuffed mate. I'm in Newton Abbott and dot have time to look on here all the time. I routinely give the club praise for positive news. Fonte is my favourite player and I have said so on many occasions. I said he was the last player we needed to tie down so delighted that we have.
  19. It was Natasha.
  20. Of course it is. Well done to all involved for that. I just think that the likes of crab lungs likes to Invent things that suit his agenda. I was simply setting the record straight but we move on.
  21. Also how is what I said any different from saying a player sounds fantastic but I'm prepared to see what he is like first? (something I have said about numerous players down the years). Certain posters only get irritated because they only like opinions that are happy clappy.
  22. Yes but it was a very small minority. Actually read the thread and you will see that hardly any actually write him off before seeing him play. I see that even on the first page crab lungs has tried to start the 'posters writing him off myth' that I tried to dispel back then. A few months later and he is at it again. I have changed my mind, crab lungs' contributions have got markedly worse in the last few years which is a shame because he used to be brilliant and a great laugh.
  23. No it is not. Again you try to peddle this myth. I said he sounds pretty awful (which if you read the opinion of people who had seen him play was true) but I was prepared to see him play! That is not a knee jerk reaction. Knee jerk would be writing him off as awful before he had played. I did not do that.
  24. What do you mean jumping on the bandwagon? Could it not be that this is what people honestly think? I mean sure no need to go overboard by saying he was awful or anything, but he didn't have the greatest of games. No harm in telling it like it is.
  25. No they made a pre judgement about a player based on the evidence available. At the time only ONE poster (I counted) dismissed him as sh*t, most said they were underwhelmed or that it sounds rubbish but that they were prepared to see him play and change their minds. Nothing wrong with that ever and just as I have been excited about a signing who turns out to be rubbish, so have I been underwhelmed by someone who has turned out great, like in this case. That is football and there is nothing wrong with that.
