How is that a non story though? Nick actually posted an update saying it was not a clerical error. It's a potentially huge story IMO.

So they got a sh*t load of money in January which they promptly used to sign a load of players which helped them get to the FA cup final. Disgraceful.

Most of the topics I have seen of late are able to easily be debated without getting personal. Sure there are some idiots I agree with that. The likes of Stu though, he can go over the top sometimes but it is quite possible for posters to debate the points he makes sensibly but most choose to attack him personally just because of who he is.

But that just gives an incentive to people who disagree with a thread to get personal in the hope that a thread is locked.

Thank you for the apology DSM. If someone jumps on a thread and is offensive then that isn't the OP's fault though. I would suggest that if someone can't debate a rumour or a bit of info that someone passes on sensibly then their posts should be deleted and they should be infracted. That goes for both sides.

I'm making an effort not to post on here at the moment because I am sick of it but this is out of order I feel. Below is the message I have sent to DSM:

I hope it's OK to post this here. I don't want to compete with this forum, it would just be nice to have something to complement it in much the same way that theuglyinside does. Obviously it would be a hell of a lot smaller than here. I'm seriously considering it and have a domain name. Either you want no rumours whatsoever or you want info which can be passed on but without breaking confidences. I know what I prefer and I suggest if people just want the former that they leave "rumour" threads well alone.

Perhaps the source is happy for the info to be released but not for his or her identity to be known? Just a thought.

Thanks spudgun. Just suppose I had spoken to the pitch announcer who had told me about this. I can't prove that to anyone on here but I can pass on in good faith something which I know to be true because it came from an impeccable source. I'm not saying that happened BTW but that is the sort of thing.
