I disagree with Pardew in this case. I feel we should have stopped booting it long in the second half and we would have done better.

Maybe so but many are clearly not up to league one standard for Southampton. I call them dross because in comparison to our first team they are.

I think the problem is that we have a lot of players but hardly any decent ones other than about 14. Look at all the dross we have.

I had that as well. Fecking saints. Last season I had a fiver on saints 2-1 reading 2-1 and reading scored for 3-1 in something like the 93rd minute. Would have won me an absolute packet.

I had 3-1 saints, 2-2 and and 2-1 saints so I was going home happy either way.

I always find it's better to pass it out on fifa than hoof it.

That's sort of my point. When we got it down first half and towards the end of the second we did very well with it. It was the 20-30 minute bit in the 2nd half that I was bothered about. Quite often we lost possession by just booting it out of play or booting it forwards rather than building up the play. I admit it was worse against Brighton but it's frustrating to see us resort to that tactic when I know we can play some really good stuff.

Just wanted to start a thread on this because it's really bugging me. When we keep it on the floor and play football then we run rings around most teams. We were the better team in the first half. 2nd half we resorted to hoof ball which we have done on a number of occasions this season. The same thing happened against Brighton. When we played it along the floor we created chances against them and it all went tits up when we went for the hoof again. I wish we would stop it and just keep it on the floor. Norwich were a lot better at keeping the ball than us and stretching the play and I just wish we would play to our strengths.
