Asked my brother in law about this who used to be a footballer "We used to have this all the time. We had the laces and a top one year. All the lads took the piss in the changing room but it's easier just to wear it and get it over with. No one wanted the hassle of making a fuss but guarantee they'll be grumbling about it behind the scenes."
-
Agreed as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. Not sure what any of that has to do with all these extra colours though. I thought the point of the rainbow was to represent everyone because it is all the colours that make up the rainbow. What's the purpose of all the new colours?
-
Interesting. Any specific sort of progress or just progress in general?
-
I can see the original pride rainbow flag colours and then there's a whole bunch of other colours that I am not familiar with. Could someone explain what they represent please?
-
I hope you'll be wearing your copy with pride on Saturday. I'd expect nothing less.

For too long, gay and trans individuals with poor fashion sense have had to attend games feeling like they have to conform to outdated concepts like style or taste. Finally the club have listened and shifted the paradigm.

I assume next year we will lose: THB Downes KWP Adams S.Armstrong Holgate Fraser Alcaraz Sulemana Aribo So that could potentially leave us with a team of: Bazunu Bree Stephens Bednarek Manning/Larios Charles Edozie Dibling Ameyew Stewart Ballard Obviously we will make some further signings but if we do have something like that, we absolutely need to play in a more pragmatic fashion with more limited players.
-
Wilcox seemed (seems?) like a good appointment but he's another one appointed by Ankerson who so far has a track record entirely of failure.
-
The sale of the players was not the issue, not bringing in replacements earlier and as permanent signings is an issue (something that the club admits in the Athletic today they should have done.)
-
Yes and it's not the losses so much as the manner of them. Middlesbrough could have scored 4 or 5, Sunderland could have got more than the 5 they did get, Leicester probably should have been more with only Ipswich being a fair reflection score wise and even that had then hitting the bar and us offering nothing up the other end.

Great spot and there I am on page 2 being pissed off like I said. He really shoved it down everyone's throats.
-
I was massively annoyed. The point is the knives woukd have been out for poch if he hasn't succeeded and shown how good he was straight away and he did! Koeman also showed how good he was almost straight away. It's normally quite clear if a manager is going to succeed or not. Maybe Martin will go against the grain and end up being a success? If he is going to do that (and I would like him to as he seems like a good bloke) the he will need to turn it round in the next three or four games or the situation will become unsalvagable.
-
His appointment was universally disliked. Coukd have phrased it better. I don't remember any support for sacking adkins and appointing poch.
-
I thought the table was measuring a disciplinary record? Since it was overturned it shouldn't count towards that.
-
This is a game where I'm absolutely convinced we will lose. What normally happens is that we end up winning so I'm going to predict a Saints win where we obviously concede a couple. Let's go with 3-2.
-
So the table isn't correct then.
-
When was our red card?
-
Yes. "I wish I could show yiu my ex players who have been there and come through the other side" what finishing mid table and lower? Martin has no track record of significance to point to. I think if he managed to keep the job then he'd improve on our position for next year, the problem is it would probably be from lower mid table to upper mid tale.
-
You can imagine had poch started averagely or poor he would have been given sort shrift from the supporters who wouldn't have patience given he'd replaced a fan favourite. The pressure was on him from the start imo and he hit the ground running which is what he had to do to get all the fans onside and forget Adkins.
-
Must remember things differently. Everyone I spoke to was outraged that Adkins had been discarded. The attitude was that Adkins was a legend and to get rid in the manner we did felt cruel and unfair. Quickly forgotten of course once Poch showed his quality.

Piroe will 100% score. Depressingly.

We just need Le tiss back in charge of the steering committee for the monkey chicken petting zoo and we are in business.

Assume you're paying me?

The only slight glimmer of hope is that Swansea eventually went on a run after some terrible results so it's conceivable that we could too. I don't think we will but it's clearly what the club is hoping for.

I didn't expect it to be right. If I'm honest, I expected about 8th or 9th at the moment with a bit of inconsistency. I certainly didn't expect us to look this awful, concede the most goals in the entire division and possibly in the entire football league (I haven't checked), to lose four games in a row and look confused and quite frankly terrible. Not much to ask to see us look OK, see some improvements and look like we are heading in the right direction.
