  1. There's no evidence that that will happen. Perform well and they can go with our blessing next year.
  2. He's not going to publically say he's unhappy is he. Let's be realistic.
  3. Why are more sales an inevitability?
  4. Yes taking the gamble and letting him go on a free may cost us some lonely, but we've made multiple millions on Lavia, Tino, jwp and more money than we expected for sure. At some point you have to swallow the cost and speculate to accumulate if you want promotion. It can't be all about money.
  5. KWP as well. Just tell them they can go next year if we fail to go up. What's the worst that could happen?
  6. Cracking result today but now is the time to stand firm and say no more first team outgoings. We've made about 150 million from sales, we need to keep the rest to push for promotion. We have a good group of players now and any further losses from the first team will weaken us considerably. Surely we don't need to sell for financial reasons? What is preventing us from saying no?
  7. Any player who isn't a proven championship goalscorer is a risk. I'm praying we know what we're doing.
  8. My brother in law played with the Ipswich manager and said he got all A*a in his gcses and was doing every sports course going at Loughborough from a young age. As it seems like they will win again, I think he coukd be destined for big things.
  9. Oh dear no Alcaraz...
  10. It's been two years...
  11. True that would also make me reconsider staging future events (or at least barring dodgy blokes wearing the woman's football kit.)
  12. It's been two years...
  13. Seems like a popular opinion judging by the amount of likes of his post.
  14. Indeed. Over time success in the league is mostly correlated with the amount of money you have. Brighton will continue to do well for a while yet but eventually there will be a couple of missteps and that's when things will go wrong.
  15. Some twat of a fan said "which wife is (whoever the player is) shagging to not get a game?" Personally if I were the Barnsley hierarchy I'd be considering cancelling future forums due to pricks like that.
  16. That's absurd. We were unbelievable for a club of our size under poch and koeman at times. They're also doing it at a time when the money available is unbelievable so of course they've made more.
  17. Exactly! In what way have they been more successful?
  18. Exactly. They have to get the right player every time in order to keep their position. They also don't have time for players with potential to develop and they need to sign players at the same or just below the level of Caicedo who doesn't want to move to the big clubs. With Saudi hoovering up lots of talent, the pool of players is going to be even smaller.
  19. Neither were we for a long time! The problem they will have is when inevitably two or three of their replacements won't work out then you're fighting an uphill battle because you have less resources to replace them and you can't get rid of the trash.
  20. We had a decade in the top flight. If they can manage the same with similar success then they've done well.
  21. Absolutely no reason to say that their aim this year is to win the league. They could easily have said something like they know there's a lot to do this summer, that they want to be as successful as possible and that the aim is to go back up as soon as we can. They've made the claim that they want to win the league, but their actions need to match those words and they have less than two weeks.
  22. It's no different to what we were doing a few years ago. They're just the hip team at the moment. They will slowly be dismantled over a few seasons and end up with a crap team fighting to survive just like we were.
  23. That's the kind of thing you hear about now they are successful - like our black box. I wonder how much we will hear about it in a few years when they are battling relegation?
  24. It's also in the interest of certain people to politicise this death and to mention something about air quality in order to push through their agenda even if it's just one factor of many and even if the death would not have occurred had it been controlled like you say. Very difficult to argue with someone pushing through their agenda of their argument is stopping the kids from dying even if that's a gross distortion of the truth.
  25. Firstly they have some control over who leaves. They don't have to just allow every single first team player of quality to go. Secondly, if they knew there was a chance they could be in this situation, it was very foolish of them to state it publically at the start of the window that winning the league is the aim. For me, even if we strengthen significantly, if Tella and KWP go then we are harming our chances.
