Labelling someone a "rape apologist" without sufficient evidence or justification can be harmful and damaging to both the person being labelled and the broader discourse surrounding sexual assault and consent. Firstly, accusing someone of being a rape apologist implies that they are actively defending or excusing rape or sexual assault, which is a serious allegation that can have significant personal and professional consequences. Before making such an accusation, it is important to have clear evidence that the person in question is indeed advocating for or minimizing sexual violence. Secondly, using the label "rape apologist" can be counterproductive to creating a constructive dialogue about consent and sexual assault prevention. If the accusation is unfounded or based on misunderstandings, it can lead to defensiveness and further entrenchment of harmful beliefs or attitudes. On the other hand, if someone is genuinely promoting harmful beliefs about sexual violence, it may be more productive to engage with them in a respectful and nuanced manner to better understand their perspective and try to educate them. Ultimately, while it is important to call out and address harmful attitudes and behaviors related to sexual assault and consent, it is crucial to do so in a way that is fair, evidence-based, and conducive to productive dialogue and positive change.

I asked chatgpt a question and got the below answer. I wonder if @Turkish knows who it refers to? Someone living in an area of the UK with a very high white population might not be bothered by immigration due to a lack of exposure for several reasons. Firstly, if they have never interacted with immigrants or have only encountered them through media portrayals, they may not have a clear understanding of who immigrants are, where they come from, and what their experiences are like. This lack of exposure can lead to a lack of concern about the impact of immigration. Additionally, people who live in predominantly white areas may not have experienced the negative effects of anti-immigrant sentiment that can occur in areas with more diverse populations. They may not be aware of the discrimination, prejudice, and violence that immigrants and minorities face in other parts of the country. This can make it difficult for them to understand why immigration is such a contentious issue. Furthermore, people living in predominantly white areas may not feel personally threatened by immigration. They may not see it as a direct challenge to their way of life, culture, or identity. Without this sense of personal threat, they may not feel the need to form strong opinions on immigration and may be more likely to take a neutral or apathetic stance. In summary, lack of exposure to immigrants can contribute to a lack of concern about immigration among people living in predominantly white areas of the UK. Without direct experience of immigration and its impact, people may struggle to form strong opinions on the issue and may not see it as a priority.

This is the most predictable game ever. The fact it is so predictable and Selles did nothing shows how unsuitable he is.
-
Absolute shite. Selles is gash. Fuck off.
-
No subs then and we will wait till 60 minutes again and likely doing nothing before then. I've been supportive of Selles but this is so so frustrating.
-
We need to do something to try to win this game. If Selles does nothing except make a couple of changes on 60 minutes and the game ends with a draw or narrow loss it will be soul destroying. Rip up the playbook and just go balls out.

We are rubbish whatever we do. Given the choice before this game I'd have been wanting to see Sulemana and Alcaraz playing in attacking roles and I've have wanted to see Moi not playing which is exactly what we've got. We will probably lose anyway but at least we are trying something a bit different instead of doing the same old thing and losing.
-
How is that a bad lineup? Looks pretty good to me with some pace and a bit of trickery. Looks like aribo in place of Moi which is much better imo. We've had nothing in the final third so we need to try something else.

Interesting that you listen to James O'brien. What's your thoughts on the man? -
TBF I said first team starters. We will lose the likes of Walcott, orisic or Larios but I didn't count them.
-
The fact it hasn't happened before and we aren't really very different from any other team that's been relegated in the past five years suggests it's unlikely to happen this time either. Teams always lose less players than some expect. We will probably so no to some of them.

TBF an awful lot of people on social media do as well. As we all know though, twitter is not real life... -

Soggy is clearly a passionate defender of sex offenders. Fair enough, I just didn't expect him to admit it so brazenly. -
How many teams have got relegated and immediately sold ten first teams starters? Not going to happen.
-
I don't think we can say that with certainty. Unless we have some sort of agreement with them that they can leave if we get relegated, they must have known it was a very real possibility in January.
-
No we will keep some players who would be pretty good I the championship. If I had to guess I think we will be able to keep for at least a season: Alcaraz Sulemana Bella Kotchap Smallbone Livramento Edozie Add the likes of Armstrong, Bree, Perraud, Stephens and we have the basis for a half decent championship team. I'd expect us to bring in some pace and strength in attacking areas, strengthen the middle and maybe one defender but we would be well set.
-
Some people are being ridiculous saying we will lose ten or more players. We will lose about 5 of the players we would want to keep which will probably be jwp, Lavia, KWP, Salisu and Adams. We will maybe lose a couple more from the likes of Tella, Alcaraz, Sulemana, ABK and DCC. Everyone else will stay

Here is an excellent twitter thread describing in detail why the issue with Pakistani rape gangs is a specific problem that needs dealing with in a specific way. Well worth a read. -

I want the NHS sorting, cost of living and energy sorting and I want the government to address women's rights, small boats and Pakistani rape gangs. It might be optimistic but I'd like the government to make an attempt to tackle all of these issues and not simply ignore some of them because they might not affect me directly. It's great if pedophiles in the west Midlands have been brought to justice. I am all in favour of police prosecuting all child abusers. Why would you not be? -

If we found out that a disproportionate amount of grooming and rape was being committed by white Christian men on working class Muslim girls and that these girls were the ones who were specifically targeted by these men, with white Christian girls being largely left alone then I'd want something done about it. If there were multiple reports that these men passed young Muslim girls around family members and friends and that they used terms such as "Muslim whore" or variations of "brown slag" etc then I'd be horrified and want something done to address it. Obviously I'd also want the wider issue of sexual crime and grooming gangs to be addressed as well and I wouldn't want the police to direct all their resources solely on these Christian men but I'd absolutely want this issue looking into specifically since it seems to be a more unique situation motivated at least in part by a cultural issue and a religious issue or at least a warped interpretation of religion. It appears that we would have a problem here with some specific motivations that in some way differ from sexual crimes committed by other demographics and the sensible thing to do would be to try to investigate this properly and to be honest about the problem to try to keep more young Muslim women safe. I can imagine what soggy would be saying if the scenario I have described actually occurred in the manner I have described it. The thing is that this is happening in the UK, it's just that the ethnicity and the skin colour of the perpetrators and the victims are the other way around. I can confidently say that I would be calling for the exact same actions regardless of who the perpetrators are. Could soggy say the same? I think we know the answer. -
I'm relaxed about it. Very possible for us to lose: Adams JWP Lavia ABK KWP Alcaraz Sulemana Tella If we can keep even three of them that would be decent for the championship. If we don't it should bring a decent amount of cash to make up for some of the loss of revenue and give us a warchest for a promotion push.

I'm not sure that's true with Hamza in charge! -
So what's the latest predictions for how this ends? Negotiated settlement after Putin is deposed/killed?

This has really dropped off the news cycle. Is this any closer to seeing some sort of resolution.
