Ralph deserves a lot of criticism but he was clearly quite erudite abd intelligent considering English was his second language. Not so with this chap who seems quite unintelligent.
-
I think that's when Adam accused him of wanting Ralph to go. I think it's clear that Adam's view is that we have an awful squad and that Ralph was doing a good job (although that doesn't explain his comments about the summer transfer window.) interesting though how everyone is clear with this bloke that he needs to go even if you wanted Ralph to stay.

The fact that sensible and normally level headed people are seriously suggesting that a manager should leave after 4 games and just a few weeks speaks volumes to be honest. This really is quite a unique situation.
-
I've just thought about the new signing with Jones' face in all the shots and the cringe quotes and it fills me with despair. This bloke needs to go before damage becomes even harder to remove.
-
I do agree with some of that. I thought Blackmore let himself down when he called fans entitled. I think criticism of Jones is fair enough but he certainly needed to be more incisive with Ralph.
-
I considered it bizarre that he was still critiquing our game at Bournemouth. That was weeks ago and nothing to do with you...
-
To be fair that's probably taken out of context somewhat. I expect they mean that a failure is probably less important than what you've learnt from that failure and that a previous failure does not necessarily mean you should be dismissed as a candidate which is true. My issue with Jones is not so much that he's failed before but more that his style and tactical knowledge is so clearly lacking. He's just not good enough to be a Premier league manager.

Thanks very much. Great post.

Genuinely think it may benefit us to get thrashed by Palace and City in the club. Very rarely want us to lose but we aren't going to win the Cups anyway so may be better if it helps to get rid of him.
-
I was quite interested in signings earlier this week. Largely couldn't care less now...
-
It's incredibly embarrassing and jarring for the club to sack him now so they definitely won't. They absolutely should just bite the bullet though and do it.
-
It was more about he knew when he needed to act rather than if he'd bring him in in the first place.
-
Also proven he can manage in the prem and the championship.
-
TBF I quite liked what Jones had to say when he came in initially. His lack of experience and Stoke was concerning but he said some of the right things. Unfortunately it's gone wrong almost immediately and also the interviews he's now giving are frankly awful.
-
Yep. Also as I mentioned elsewhere Benitez and Dyche would be better than what we have. Absolutely untrue to say there's no alternative.
-
As much of a prick that he was, you just know that if this was Cortese this bloke would be out now. He'd be decisive when required.
-
Yep Benitez would be a cracking appointment. I'd also take Dyche who would do a job in the championship or even with a bit of desperation someone like big Sam.
-
Do you think there's a likely prospect of us performing better than we did under Ralph with a more defined sense of identity? Because this manager hasn't shown anything to suggest that that's in any way likely.
-
I'd like a manager to get us organised first of all and solid at the back. I'd like us to get in some solid signings in this window and then even if we were to go down this year get a bit of momentum back for next year. I'd certainly like some positivity and direction and this manager is giving the opposite of thst- he's also incredibly dislikable.
-
Genuinely not sure how a team of limited professional players with some talent could look worse than they currently are. I think it would be a challenge to make it any worse short of playing them all out of position.
-
For me it's not poor results from this squad that mean he should go as he hasn't had long, it's the fact that we look a lot worse than we did under Ralph which I didn't think was even possible.
-
Not sure I've seen the fanbase as United since Lowe. It's just not going to work with this bloke and he needs to go.
-
I've just seen another quote where he says it isn't entirely his fault which is true but what we should be seeing is some encouraging signs. Even if we were losing with that you could have something to hold onto. This is a serious regression on what was already terrible.
-
I'm not sure what he's supposed to say after a performance like that. At least he was blaming himself which is better than shifting responsibility. He said it's on him and I believe him.
-
"we're defending better now" well that's absolute bollocks.
