  1. Fair play to saints for this one if it comes off. Makes it a good window and at least we've given it a go.
  2. And I thought to myself who is that big black defender? He is so dominant.
  3. Refuse to get my hopes up. I still reckon we won't sign anyone.
  4. Hi guan. Any update on things?
  5. Decent. Got our money back so essentially just paid wages for a few seasons.
  6. Lots of people are Internet tough guys. Sounds like no one actually did anything in real life so I would just ignore it. If everyone stopped what they were doing due to online abuse then no one would do anything.
  7. Bringing someone in on loan - possibly with subsidised wages or pay as you play- is not an example of wasting money in the same way giving a five year contract to forster is.
  8. He didn't play much last season. Imo it's worth a gamble that Ralph can get a fair amount out of him. One poor season of not playing much doesn't suddenly make him a terrible player.
  9. If spurs want rid they may agree to a pay as you play deal or to subsidise his wages the same way we will be doing for some of our players. As I said it's not going to happen anyway but I certainly won't be writing him off entirely. He'd be an improvement in dm on what we have imo.
  10. Yes. Ledley King was injured loads for spurs but was excellent when he played. Wanyama on loan would definitely improve us in dm even if he can't play every game.
  11. Never going to happen but I'd love Vic on loan even if he's injured a fair amount.
  12. If it is they will probably have timed that to distract from deadline day.
  13. Lol. We've needed a decent cb for three windows. Entirely predictable that certain posters call others unrealistic for hoping for the bare minimum. Watch us throw away a load of points again this season duebto this glaring and obvious weakness.
  14. And the boring borong apologists pop up to moan at entitled fans for daring to be disappointed about our transfer dealings. Happens at the end of every window without fail.
  15. This is a forum about saints where you post opinions. It's my opinion that if we don't sign a cb this summer has essentially been a failure. I'm not going to do anything about it other than express my disappointment on here and talk to others about the situation. There isn't anything that we can do although if we get relegated I can imagine similar protests to what we had under Lowe.
  16. Who was the bloke on here who used to do amazing kit mockups? Was it gecko Saint or some guy with a lizard avatar?
  17. Sorry I don't believe you. We had similar comments in January.
  18. We should have looked for ten defensive equivalents and then gone through the list until we got one. Cb should have been the priority for this window and as per the last three windows at least we will be finishing the window with some absolute glaring weaknesses that haven't been addressed. It's this "just about good enough to stay up" mentality that is going to result in our relegation sooner rather than later and the frustrating thing is it's such a waste.
  19. So a dodgy sponsor then. What most people expected.
  20. He's a young exciting player with the potential to be great. No reason we couldn't have looked for the defensive equivalent. Wouldn't take much to be better than hoedt in particular.
  21. I don't think calling a transfer window disappointing means anyone has to get out more. Every time we have a bit of a crap window you get the usual suspects coming on to mock those who think it's a bit disappointing.
  22. If that's the case then I would have preferred not signing djenepro and getting a cb instead.
  23. Or utter dribbling cack from Ralph.
  24. Nah the January with caceres was the worst. This would be a close second though, particularly because there were quite a few noises about having a refresh and a clean sweep.
