  1. Cool you also think we will stay up. Safe safe safe. End of thread.
  2. Lol. You've ignored my post then.
  3. The only hysteria is coming from one direction. Safe safe safe.
  4. You realise that in order for that to be the case we would have to lose our next seven games and even then after all that if we lose to both Bournemouth and Brighton we would have a fair chance of staying up if we beat Sheffield United on the last game. Safe safe safe.
  5. Nah it was the Steve Rose thing.
  6. You're either safe or you're not. Do you accept that the scenario I posted is insanely unlikely? If so then you agree with everyone else that relegation isn't going to happen.
  7. Just did a predictor with an insanely unlikely set of results. I saw us picking up two more points all season and was overly generous to every team below us. We still stayed up with a loss on the last day finishing above Brighton and well clear of villa and Norwich. Safe safe safe.
  8. He disappeared because he was outed as the famed children's toy manufacturer Steve Rose.
  9. Double negatives are a particular annoyance.
  10. I have a good friend who had a complete breakdown whilst on holiday about 4 years ago now. He's been in and out of mental health facilities in Southampton. I'm not sure how more resources would really help him as I'm not sure at the moment if there's an expectation that he is going to improve. It seems that he's on a different drug every time I see him, he's been out for the day a few times and then runs off worrying his family and parents to death. He's lost his self-control button and outwardly has little signs of illness so the times I've taken him out somewhere like to play sport or to the pub we've almost been assaulted because he's said something inappropriate to members of both sexes. He's been discharged four times now but the professionals are powerless to force him to take his medication and once he stops doing that he becomes a danger to himself again and last time got himself detained for driving whilst attempting to go to Heathrow with a drone. Its terribly sad but I reckon he's got worse in the last few years rather than better. I know his family appreciate when I go to see him but I am starting to question whether I should bother given that he tends to get quite verbally abusive after I've seen him and I'm not sure if my presence really improves things. My point really is that mental health resources are a really difficult thing to provide because they have to be tailored to each individual and even then some people just aren't going to get better. Throwing money at it won't really solve the problem for many and I'm not sure what will.
  11. And also the team in 17th, and 16th, and 15th, and 14th.
  12. Four teams would have to get two more wins than us over the next ten games and at least another point as well as Newcastle having better form than us. Those four teams have got either 6 or 7 wins over the last 28 games so our form would have to absolutely fall off a cliff to the point that we fail to get about 4 points in the next ten games (a worse run of form than at any other point this season) and each of those four teams would have to improve their win ratio by about a third with a quarter of the season remaining. Statistically that is so incredibly unlikely that you really should be sticking the house on it if you think it's going to happen. We could lose our next 7 games in a row which isn't going to happen, win our 8th game and we will still stay up. Safe safe safe.
  13. Ah yes it's EE. I'm with three and I've never had an issue.
  14. Isn't bt mobile O2 now?
  15. Lol you bellend.
  16. Doesn't really say much other than pretty much carry on as normal and await further details.
  17. "For all intensive purposes."
  18. Yep but it's stupefyingly unfunny.
  19. Jaidi is still close to the club and has gone to America for experience. There's a possibility he will return at some point.
  20. "then I turned around and said." No you just replied, you didn't turn anywhere. That was a frequent one on Jeremy Kyle. Also really annoying when people say "the proof is in the pudding" when it's "the proof of the pudding is in the eating."
  21. Maybe but it's either a version of that or a subscription model. Trying to be all things to all people hasn't been working and it needs reform wherever you stand on the BBC.
  22. Who are the "usual suspects?" I couldn't give a monkeys how much it's watched.
  23. And that's a valid point but it should not be beyond a task force of some kind to use a combination of surveys, data, experts etc to ascertain what a slimmed down BBC should concentrate on. Clearly not going to please everyone but I can see some pretty obvious things that use up a fair amount of resources and which it would be hard to argue for. You're right that relying solely on citizens assemblies would be a bad idea. That's kind of like extinction rebellion and their batty demands.
  24. It's not a spelling error, but the messed up way that most Americans pronounce "buoy." it's buoy short for buoyancy numbnuts not "booee".
  25. I think you have to be realistic about costs, do a plan for what the largest number of people would deem to be absolutely necessary and then concentrate on that and maybe diversify slightly into areas that are for the greater good even if they aren't as popular if you've got resources left over. Bit like the NHS really...
