  1. I think people have been worn down by it all. If they really want a full throated and angry atmosphere then we need another abomination of a performance like Leicester but we need the goals to be conceded early. 3-0 down after half an hour and watch the sparks fly. I can see why people are hoping for losses now if it's the only way to get a change.
  2. It can't help that clearly Ralph is utterly divorced from the situation on the ground. It's why we have pats on the head like this vapid interview and why we now have vacuous advertising slogans plastered around the city utterly devoid of any sort of substance and solely created to make the fans believe they are part of something more special than they were a few seasons ago. The reality of course is that there was a far better connection and love for the club during the adkins years due to the team spirit and success and we didn't need some soulless branding statements or airy fairy mission statements about how wonderfully unique we are as a club.
  3. I'll be honest if we go down I'll probably get a season ticket again. Even the seasons when we were sh*t it was a good laugh going to some away games with players who cared. We had some rubbish but most of them put a shift in even when they were inconpempetent and we had cult heroes like stern John and rasiak. I'll get over relegation quite quickly I reckon and hopefully the skates get back there so we can have a Derby again.
  4. I reckon we could keep yoshi and jwp for a season or two. I can't see why anyone would want them. Hojbjerg I agree but would be good to keep him for a season and give him the armband. Plenty of clubs have kept bigger players for a season so we may be able to do it. Forgot about Reed that's a good shout.
  5. Maybe avoid saying something which now makes it virtually impossible to sack him in the immediate future regardless of performance? Or just get someone less infuriating to a British football fan to do the interview?
  6. To be fair it sounds symptomatic of a wider problem - the club have started forgetting what's actually important which is the first team abd the product we put out on the pitch.
  7. Can I ask what qualifies krueger to judge that pellegrino is a really good coach? Because he routinely gives the impression that he really knows very little about the actual sport that is soccer ball.
  8. Not this year he hasn't been. Done very little for me.
  9. I was getting depressed and angry about our decline and the ridiculous people running our club so I decided to do something productive. What would be a team that you would be excited for and pay money to watch if we do end up being relegated this year? Here is mine so far: New keeper New rb Stephens Yoshida Targett sims jwp hojbjerg new lm Austin new striker Managed by Gary monk. Nice mix of English players and academy players there, hopefully instill a bit of passion into them, not a bad defence for the championship if we get in a decent rb and maybe a good bit of pace up top. I'd be very excited to see how the academy boys do if we did go down this route. It would also have the added bonus of binning most of the dross from this year. Maybe replace Austin too if he's too injury prone. Thoughts?
  10. He can't string to half's of average performance together...
  11. Yes I am aware thanks. Doesn't excuse his woeful stats.
  12. So did I! There was no satisfaction at half time, i simply said I was worried because we had only scored one and that I expected us to sit back and let them equalise. I thought we would nick a draw, I didn't think it would be even worse. Mr Gao are you happy to risk your investment just so that some f*ckwit Canadian can save face? You need to act now and remove this manager from his post.
  13. Davis - past it Stephens - a youngster who is being ruined Boufal- utterly inconsistent Soares- poor and lacking bottle Bertrand- going through the motions Jwp- good crosser of a ball, everything else below average or worse Lemina- started well now as bad as anyone else Romeu- chalk and cheese from last year. Abysmal by comparison. Long - runs a lot and never ever scores. Yoshida- error prone and unreliable. Redmond - our poorest performer this year and that's really saying something. Just a few of the absolute tossers we have on show this year. I genuinely struggle to think of anyone apart from Hojbjerg who has been even average or above this season. Utterly abysmal and the entire management should be ashamed.
  14. "Mauricio, you just lost your first game since selling Vvd. What do you think was the problem?" "The VVD situation."
  15. People scoff about organised protests but I genuinely think it would be effective against a club that is so pr and image conscious.
  16. Get him out. Any means necessary, it's up to the fans to force the change we need. This is a disgrace and the fact we haven't sacked him is beyond comprehension.
  17. Hopefully Gao can step in and take the decision out of clueless Ralph's hands.
  18. If he isn't getting sacked voluntarily then fans need to force him out. We are capable of playing well but this can't go on much longer.
  19. But if the chances of winning next week abd the week after are improved by a change of direction inspired by a loss this week then I can see why there would be a temptation to view a loss as a potentially positive thing.
  20. I'm guessing his point was that he would rather we lost one game which would hopefully spark some response in the club eventually that would mean we are ultimately more successful. I want us to win but I understand why it is tempting at times to hope for short term failure which inspires a change of direction and ultimately success. Or is that too nuanced?
  21. Thabks for this Guan. Incredibly worrying post but I appreciate the info and I learnt more from it than anything that Ralph just spouted. Not sure what we can do? Any suggestions?
  22. I think it's clear he will be here unless we really do go on an epic loss of runs to leave us stuck in the relegation zone with a gap to get out. Will be interesting to see how the club reacts if we do lose the next few though because I think it's close to mass protests.
  23. In the interview he said refurbish the stadium and do some more stuff at the training ground along with some international stuff- probably in China.
  24. Depends what you mean by bothered. I think that interviews like this show the club to be quite out of touch with the fan base. It was suggested that one possible reason for recent underperfprmance may be that we have become arrogant and slightly aloof- those cringe inducing slogans we see everywhere now and that recent express article about our lack of publicity could back this up. If this is the case then I would be inclined to see interviews like this to be a perfect demonstration of the sort of thing we should avoid doing. With regards to the actual content of the interview, I'm not overly bothered by it, I just think it deserves highlighting for the hypocrisy, the obfuscation and the vaguely humorous nature of it all. If nothing else it certainly shows what the clubs opinion is of its fans- maybe it's a somewhat accurate opinion!
  25. Agreed straight talking, well articulated precise and I could see exactly what he meant to say. Saintlondon can you apply to be the Southampton PR representative please?
