  1. What influence does the Queen have on any laws in this country?
  2. Even if we accept that the current British system was undemocratic, we could lobby Parliament and put political pressure on through petitions etc to get it changed. History shows that the government will often listen to the people. I would argue we would have vastly more of a chance of getting the change we want at a national level than we ever would within the EU. When does the EU ever listen to the will of the people?
  3. Nonsense. First past the post is certainly not perfect and personally I would prefer a different system but it absolutely is more democratic than the EU. To pretend otherwise does your argument no favours at all.
  4. Hold up so because in your view UK democracy is undemocratic, that means it is fine to accept the EU system which is even worse? It is your argument that is flawed.
  5. Can you kindly stop using we in that context? Otherwise I agree.
  6. Of course it's my opinion but it's also backed up by the stats at the time. I'd be interested to know why you think he was overrated which is why I asked.
  7. In what way he overrated? Whilst he was here he was the top midfielder in europe in his position. I can't see how he was anything less than our best player, certainly in midfield in his last season (and arguably before that.)
  8. They might well carry out some generic terrorist training. This particular exercise was looking at Islamic terrorism which statistically they are overwhelmingly more likely to be subject to than other types.
  9. If they are doing a terrorism training exercise involving Ira bombers then it may be a good idea to shout anti monarchy phrases beforehand so yes.
  10. Genius. Everyone who went to a convent school is a Christian. I'll be sure to let my uncle know next time I see him. It may be a shock, particularly because he has described himself as an atheist for the past 30 years (still attended his relative's nativity though) but of course attending a convent school is proof positive that you are a Christian. You've cracked it.
  11. Is it an opinion piece on Christ's teachings and how they have shaped her life?
  12. No idea but if hardly seems likely that he would do that.
  13. Or reading A beginners guide to your first Holy communion by A. Hitler
  14. He'll be back with a few diatribes in due course I would expect. "Are you saying all terrorists are Muslims? Even the ones during the crusades?" "Why am I the only one standing up for the moderate Muslims?" I don't actually know any Muslims but I'm the only one standing up for them! "
  15. It was a suicide bomb exercise. What other suicide bombers have there been than Muslim extremists?
  16. I fail to see why it warranted an apology since they were enacting a scenario where daesh were involved. That is what members of daesh shout before blowing themselves up.
  17. Post #513 should do you.
  18. I called Art head mental which is a phrase known and understood by many on this forum going back many years. I didn't use autism to point score which is an entirely different matter. Odd that you have nothing to say about Art's repugnant views. It's almost as if you would rather try to jump on a flippant comment than address anything in the actual thread, simply because I was the one who wrote something. Lets return to the thread topic please rather than having you rambling on about me in your confused manner in yet another thread.
  19. And off he goes again, accusing people of claiming it is weird to support normal Muslims- something that nobody has ever said and once again something you have invented in your head. Your weird agenda has precisely nothing to do with standing up for moderate Muslims. If you think that attacking you and your crackpot ideas is me spending a lot of time attacking "moderates" then i worry about you. Does every reply to you have to end by saying "no one is attacking you or ridiculing you or rubbishing your views because you are standing up for moderate Muslims"? Maybe you will comprehend that this time but I'm not holding out hope. I personally don't give a toss about politics in London as it won't be affecting me in the slightest and the religion of an elected official is of zero relevance anyway unless it impacts on his ability to do his job. Your lame attempt to get people on here to criticise Sadiq Khan solely for being a Muslim has thus far failed and you won't be able to run around shouting about how many racists there are on here. What a shame for you.
  20. [emoji38] A well known phrase used on this forum a number of times. Luckily I have no need to explain myself to someone who uses mental conditions to point score.
  21. Then why bring it up encouraging people to comment? Clearly you are hoping for negative comments to support your weird agenda.
  22. Looks like you are looking for a negative reaction so you can go off on one again. You must be disappointed that no one has obliged you. You would have thought all those obvious racists would be desperate to write of their disgust.
  23. Art is actually head mental and a little obsessed with gay sex. Let's remember that this is the man that posted a link to hardcore gay pornography on the forum.
  24. Seriously? Why do people bother.
  25. Bit of an odd season really. We could finish on the same or even surpass the amount of points we got last year but somehow we seem weaker. Maybe it's because we haven't blown away teams like we did on occasion last year. I'd really like one or two exciting attacking players signed this summer to go with our solid base, especially if we lose Mane. We also need some other players to pick up the slack if the likes of Tadic go off the boil again and a Wanyama replacement.
