I love how polarised everything is. Either it's Cortese's way or we are going to hell in a handcart and everything will implode. Yes we may be reigning in our ambition a bit which is disappointing for the fans (although may well be making us more financially stable) and we will probably miss some of Nicola's ruthlessness and single mindedness but his way is not the only way to run a successful football club. I have no idea about this current lot and it may be that they don't do a great job, but it's possible that they can still bring us success whilst being more financially prudent and being a bit more fan friendly into the bargain. I still expect Adam and Luke to be sold and I will watch with interest to see how we go about replacing them and retaining our other players. Despite coming across as a bit buffoonish and lacking in football knowledge, I very much doubt that someone with the pedigree of Ralph would join as chairman only to see a mass exodus of players at the first opportunity. What would be the point?

Yes. By leaking stories and releasing this piece today he is destabilising the club and making himself look better by comparison.

What are you on about? Are you suggesting that a number of journalists have just invented the idea that he has been leaking things to the press? Why would they do that?

I never said I knew precisely which exact ones, I said that some of them were which was my entire point. It doesn't matter which ones were, the point is that any were linked to destabilise clubs in the first place.

If we sell 9 players this summer then I will accept that all the reports are true and that none have been planted with the frequency they have been to destabilise the club.

Think you have misunderstood my original post. Some may leave but it is the deliberately leaking destabilising stories to the press that is the problem.

The barrage of rumours about virtually our entire first team leaving on a daily basis that have been released by cortese and the PR company are obviously not all true.

We should also bear in mind that this reasonable façade and fair comment is being done whilst also leaking a load of destabilising rumours to the press according to journalists. That puts a different complexion on matters.

I can understand the curiosity but you won't get the honest reason and even if we do it won't do anything other than provide even more speculation and destabilising influences.
