It's not really a case of him being wrong in this instance. He just heard something about it so in my. Kind the possibility is worth discussing even if it's untrue. Certainly the scale and speed of our sales has taken the fanbase by surprise and it would be interesting to know if Koeman knew about them all before he joined.
And even if you can't do that for every player, you don't make it easy for them to leave. You certainly don't allow 7 first team players to leave easily and definitely not a young prospect with a handful of first team appearances for 11 million.
Other posters said what they had heard not me. I said it wouldn't surprise me. How can you fail to understand that? It's fairly simple. As usual you fail to comprehend a relatively simple point.
If that's the case I presume that every time we finish higher than tenth (if that ever happens again) we can look forward to most of the team leaving. Joyous.
Southampton Football Club would like it known that Ronald Koeman and his coaching team have left the club. Ceo Gareth Roberts says "this is a great opportunity for us and will allow us to make replacements in key area and for years to come."
A couple of people have reported that he is rather annoyed with some of these departures and the situation was not what he thought it was. Not saying it's true but it wouldn't surprise me.
Well the financial difficulties bit was clearly nonsense but the first few statements were very encouraging. A real shame that it's turned out to be utter rubbish.
The truth is there are no answers really, or at least it any answers they want to give the fans. They are hardly going to admit we have lost our ambition or that they have handled things so badly that even players like cork or fonte want to leave.
I preferred a strategy as outlined by one. I would have preferred a more honest approach as it was much trumpeted when this lot came in. Something like we may sell some players this summer but they will be replaced and we will look to build on the excellent work of last year would have been fine.
It amazes me that people still continue to defend the board despite this unprecedented selling of players.
