Agree. Probably would have wanted £4-5m to sell to their direct rival, both to compensate lower promotion chance and appease fans. They could say they helped him with his career if he went to a team on verge of prem - which sounds a lot better than flogged him to team below them. Would he have wanted to come? He probably is guaranteed CCC football next season if he waits - or higher. If he came to us he may still be in league 1. He is a 27 year old never played at higher level. We have Lambert, Barnard, Guly, Lallana and Ox-C all scoring. IMHO was never going to happen.
