  1. this confusion over his age is getting silly now
  2. just thought, others maybe not sad enough to listen to interview of Posh's asst manager! He says how its hard for us as we are like a cup final for all our opponents and they raise their game
  3. thought little cherries got upset saying it was just us being arrogant? 3.20 in http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/peterborough_united/9435312.stm
  4. CM Hammond - club capt, seems to be in form Chaplow - good, young recent signing Morgan - injured, possibly for season but wouldn't be stunned to see him again this season Vast majority on here agreed that any 2 out of those 3 make a good pairing for us. We still have that! Now signed 21 midfielder who has scored 10 in 37 games, 2nd highest assists in his club, - which is more goals and assists in this division than our CM! Whose fans seem gutted to lose him fit and ready to perform at league 1 pace Can see no reason to moan
  5. fans seem gutted for him to go, good age
  6. sounds right sort of signing. Wish him well and hope he enjoys being part of promotion winning side
  7. His goal scoring attributes complement a player who can win the ball and has an eye for a pass, characteristics that have led to him being a long term target of Nigel Adkins, who has tracked his progress over the past months. Stephens has also attracted keen interest from clubs above League One level with Leeds United and a number of Premier League sides reportedly having kept tabs on the player. The gritty midfielder will add competition for places in the centre of the park,
  8. Let's moan at the club for not even having decent rumours! Lol
  9. Let's moan at the club for not even having decent rumours! Lol
  10. Not sure he can be serious,
  11. Think things to consider are; window isn't closed so maybe nothing in this anyway - but assuming no-one comes in if Ox-C and Lallana are out other wide options are Dickson/Harding, Guly, Forte, N'Guessan. who gets released this late in season? Player not in first team, therefore maybe not match fit - will they be able to come into a squad this late and be better than the above names for a couple of months?? In many cases probably not. Throwing in an out of favour player could be bigger gamble. The exceptions for this maybe getting a summer signing in early on loan - again not many clubs release decent players this time of year. Money run out? If it had I don't think the training ground scheme would be ongoing, nor would we have signed Guly, Chaplow - added the costs of Forte and N'Guessan, offered an undoubtedly lucrative contract to Lallana. We would have cashed in on Ox-C. Rather than money running out, I believe the more logical likely explanations are either we can't get better than we already have or someone is signing tomorrow
  12. CMS was poor (by his standards) on Monday - hope it will continue! Missed few chances and was bit of headless chicken
  13. he did a lot of good but departed with failure. He is hardly Adolf!
  14. reasonable transfer if you get train into london and want to get to game
  15. do the owners of this forum have a duty of care / responsibilty to act when a poster is clearly losing their mind? I would hate to see them found liable when a poster was clearly suffering from serious issues and took no action?
  16. despite you asking for reason debate on another thread this is your response??? Peterborough have been in amazing form for their last 9 games, their best spell of the season. They have won 7 and drawn 1. IF they can keep that amazing, season's best form for the last 9 games they will have another 22 points. We have a bit of a cushion of goal difference so that would mean we would also need 22. Whyis 20 a loony call?
  17. I have heard posh have given up, they looked at league table and also their last poor result and realised promotion totally out of reach
  18. It is great. You would soon be whining if current form showed us behind! Season is 46 games, can't find that table for you.
  19. win home, draw away - would give 85, hard to beat. Would be great for our confidence, and maybe knock others, if we get 2nd tonight.
  20. think last upate was training but not fully recovered, nearly there.
  21. I was trying - mine ended up Birmingham! Stuck with dinner as well so won't even be able to listen!
  22. run in league table, here :- http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/runin.html now has us promoted with games to spare based on recent form!
  23. agree - win at home and draw away should be more than enough. Also agree with this - think it will have a big impact on all the teams at the top to see the big name, favorite for promotion, with biggest squad, in form and in position - with games in hand

    Franchise v Posh

Can you imagine this forum if... our forwards missed chances like Peterborough's KD gifted a goal like tonight's Akins showed the lack of plan B that Fergie did tonight? We were as scrappy and hoofed as much But this was the almighty Peterborough with CMS and Lewis! They are certainly not out of it yet and there will be twists and turns - just pointing out that there is some "grass is always greener" on here and we should enjoy our team, wins like Saturday and appreciate our forwards!
