  1. I was wondering that, not seen any!
  2. was getting optimistic until you compared him to the poorest saints player in years.
  3. manager is answerable to the board - whatever their titles.
  4. it usually fails, very publicly, when a manager is in place and then football director - who has different ideas in recruited. If they both know the score, or director in place first, it is more likely to succeed.
  5. the way the game has moved on good managers are necessarily best equipped or have the time to deal with agents etc - hence sporting director,
  6. when Newcastle thing was going on a top manager, forget which one but I posted it at the time, said many many clubs work successfully with this role, but some call it operations director, sporting director, etc.
  7. think their contracts ran out last season
  8. He's in his 70's. Looking at ages of Cortesse and Oldknow and the talk of dynamic long term management team - I really can't see him being their sort of man.
  9. hopefully Adams is even less of an option!
  10. disagree - would prefer Wotte,
  11. fair enough, I would perfer Tisdale as he is on the up and less baggage, if we don't go for a name.
  12. I could suggest a club!
  13. not getting the cotterill thing. he was roughly where Tisdale is now, in 2002. then had 3 steady,at best -lower table seasons in CCC with Burnley and not been employed since 2007 - as a 44 yr old up and coming manager - why?
  14. moved from Northam to Itchen and much prefer it. Go to away games to stand all game and sing. Bit more civilised but ok atmosphere in itchen - and much better view
  15. when he was linked to Celtic job it turned out to have come from him and his agent. He is out of work. Probably lives fairly local. We are a great opportunity for a manager. He maybe touting his name to media
  16. lets keep it going, we need to be sure none of us want him!
  17. he spoke about Gaydamac would only ever sell to someone if they guaranteed Adams would be manager. He said that he would spend millions in transfer window. All comments that everyone else new were not true but he seemed to believe them. I cannot think of one quality or reason to bring him here.
  18. at least we are united at last!
  19. you are right, those interviews were far beyond clueless, he was a laughing stock - skates were embarrassed by him.
  20. sorry, didn't realise the other thread was about adams. Heard it on radio and wanted to get it off my chest!
  21. as it is said the new owners monitor forums... I have just heard on the radio that Tony Adams is the most likely new manager. If this is being considered for a minute please do two things 1) Watch any of his interviews when with skates to see how clueless he was. 2) Not wishing to speak for everyone but suspect my view of not wanting him would be echoed by nearly every saints fan. A very uninspiring, unpopular appointment in my opinion. I would rather Wotte, or even JP, or even Branfoot!
  22. radio just talking about Tony Adams is most likely. I would rather Wotte by far.
  23. what's he achieved? THe case in todays echo for him was he lives locally!
  24. I was done, queue, renewed, credit plan, ajax tickets - all within about 10 mins V Slick
