lined up? what does that mean? They thought about, like we do on here, or managed to sell the club to them and could pay them? I suspect its the former.

don't get this "knows this league" thing. We need a decent manager - not an expert on league 1. NP is held up as a great guy to have and most would snap him up - his management experience before us next to none, his experience managing in league 1 before last season?

why are saints fans on here so keen to knock our own players? Watford away was enough to convince me he could be a very good player for us

most important thing is someone supported by and who can work with, new board - that often means their own new man. We could do worse than Wotte so wouldn't be too upset if he stayed. Equally he is tarnished with being involved with the old Southampton and think it would he easier to get united and optimistic behind new man. Quite interested in seeing how Tisdale would get on (hence my thread on him), but would rather Wotte than some of the half a dozen time sacked names which usually come out. Hard to say without knowing new boards budget, short-term/long-term plans.

personally I don't see any harm in posting info on here, it won't change the outcome at all. There are now numerous posts moaning about info being posted. For those who remember what I do, you will guess that I am not part of any group but have become aware of small bits over the years - which as a fan I know I would like to know, and so have shared them. I am not seeking points or to exert influence over others views, but due to the large number of moans guess it must be offending some. I am confident we will be moving forward soon and can get on with supporting the team. Keep watching the OS for news!

I don't think he is stringing it out, nor actively encouraging the fundraising. With the tasks he has he is not going to turn down money, nor say don't worry we have loads. I think its a bit rich the emotional blackmail, almost as if you are not a proper supporter unless you put money in the bucket, or go to a non-competitive game to see players we have seen play many times-when they were good. If you want to go, great hope its a good day - but I don't think Fry or any of the future owners feel it is at all significant for the future of the club.

don't really want to get into point scoring, sure he knows more and is closer to people involved. What I said on this party, and others was in good faith and could be wrong but other stuff I am told supports the person who told me (does that make sense?). I'm not ITK or a central party to any of this - but links give me a fair picture or not just one party.

Fry has put on hold discussions with council as expects buyers to buy that as well - would suggest that those after total package are more likely to succeed

glad its not me having to choose between them - must be hard who will be best long-term option

my next game will be first home (or away if not too far away) pre-season to look at the new team. Not really interested in this.

disagree, teams coming up aren't known for having spent big - just balanced well managed team
