think promotion is much more likely than relegation - more than that hard to say.
-
Norwich have raised expectations - and did it without the sort of signings people are saying are needed on here
-
really hard question, which none of us can accurately answer, is how the current team will make the transition. Clearly the league is harder, although you could argue that playing bigger teams, playing decent football on decent pitches also has its benefits after our season of cup finals. But how good will Barnard, Guly, Lambert, Lallana, Ox-C, Morgan be for example do? They could be every bit as good as the established championship players some are desperate to sign - or they could be found wanting. The way we cruised the second half of the season - a season with injuries to Lambert, Lallana, Morgan, Guly, Ox-C and Barnard may make it harder for Adkins to justify spending - are these potential signings clearly better than what we have, good enough to break up the team and relegate squad players?
-
lucky as CMS was trailing in 3rd place!
-
Agree, 100%, they are only signing decent players, we have some pretty decent players - perhaps we are waiting for very good players
-
and now a keeper mainly famous for his dad!
-
linked to a lot but only signings so far are hardly world beaters - Hudd's RB and Danns.
-
true, and Kasper isn't his dad! Probably, for next season, no better than Kelvin.

I don't remember you posting when he as appointed that you expected him to achieve this.. 20 wins and 2 draws and 2 defeats from all of the home games (including playing Man U), or saying that (with injuries to Barnard and Ox-C) he could get consistency, when under pressure to get promotion of 13 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat in last 15. Absolute rubbish to say he only did as expected and you are trolling saying otherwise. Yes we started season as favorites -but we were adrift to good squads when he came in. He did outstandlingly well. No one in football looking at his performance would knock it like you do. Appreciate what he achieved for us. He did what you expected, no more...lol
-
rubbish and you know it.
-
De Pedro was one I meant! Not Rudi
-
so.. 1) Maynard 2) Sharp 3) CMS 4) rest of world 5) McGoldrick
-
who was the left midfielder we were always linked with?
-
Maynard seems to be clear, with Sharp bit ahead of CMS. Sorted thanks!
-
with our squad it should have been good. As should Hudderfields, Peterborough's and Brighton's. Adkins was excellent though - better than those others.
-
but did better than well. he out performed every manager in the country. no doubt players will come if money is offered.
-
or a overseas player we have not heard of who is better!
-
players will be swung by all sorts of factors - fact that Adkins isn't famous is not likely to be one. Typical factors are likely to be; 1) money 2) money 3) money 4) how they think team will do 5) are the team on the way up - something we have over some championship clubs, our manager can give genuine reasons why we are on the way up, can Cardiff, Notts F etc? 6) geography 7) other players there have they played for manager before etc etc Not whether he is famous and glamorous! Adkins does seem to be popular with players, the team spirit appears better than I can remember it - easy when winning and doing so impressive as Adkins did. Some in the game may have noticed this http://www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/mpl-league.html
-
I don't think Adkins will have any problem attracting players - if we show ambition, pay fees etc we will get players
-
why post on it?!
-
its also value for money - how much better is CMS than Lee Barnard - who is little younger and probably apart from last season not hugely different scoring rates. Will swapping CMS for LB improve the team? Probably. Will keeping LB and spending £4m on a CM improve the team more? Quite possibly.

Possible manslaughter Under the Guard Dogs Act 1975, the use of a guard dog at any premises except agricultural land or dwelling houses is not permitted unless a handler is present on the premises and controls the dog at all times, and warning notices are displayed at the entrances. If the handler is not present the dog must be secured.

not good either! He has clearly improved. Sounds like he is off to West Ham. Personally think he has his limitations and am glad we didn't pay silly money for him in January. These other blokes sound better prospects to me.
-
only scored 10 in 43 his only season at that level. Most of his career has been conference and league 2
-
Maynard is 3 years younger than CMS and scored more goal than him at this sort of level.
