  1. . who knows!
  2. and how do you know its not his siblings?
  3. so we don't know
  4. saw funny article quoting Danns' agent on waiting for Rangers. Said he is willing to wait for them and is his preferred destination - then said there had been no contact from them
  5. and who is that!
  6. rubbish. if you give it a moments thought sure you can think of several genuine reasons why player may choose Adkins / Saints over Poyet / Brighton.
  7. agree, interesting rather than a real insight
  8. Not sure if this link has been on here before http://fourfourtwo.com/lists/thefootballrichlist201011thefull100.aspx has us at No5. I know there are debates as to who actually owns us, how much a rich owner wants to put in etc, but interesting read.
  9. don't think doomed, but weaker than last season and we were better then!
  10. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Bloom
  11. I have Case, Keegan, Channon and Williams. Didn't see Paine or Davies. And got a huge amount more pleasure watching Le Tiss than Arsmstrong and Ball. No right Answers but Le tiss would be one of the first names for me, and suspect many others.
  12. Shilton Golac Watson Wright Benali Channon Williams Case Le Tiss Keegan Pahars I think!
  13. down to the 8th thread in the lounge! Worrying!
  14. i am sure their new owners want success - who doesn't! But as they have not even had a press conference or bought a player think its bit early to judge, isn't it?
  15. and Jack Wilshere - would be good signing!
  16. in my time of watching (mid 70s onwards) Shilton would have a strong case for being our best player.
  17. does putting it here make it easier to follow the rumours?
  18. isn't that exactly what whoever compiled the list said??
  19. not going to help attract any player who has offers from clubs who pay their wages,
  20. NOTW list today: 1. Shane Long (Reading) It will take a minor miracle for Reading to keep hold of their top scorer. The Irishman notched an impressive 25 goals but fired a blank in the Play-Off Final defeat to Swansea. Not 'world class', as his chairman John Madejski describes, but a sharp-shooter who could flourish in the top flight. 2. Connor Wickham (Ipswich) The hottest property outside the Premier League. All the big clubs have been linked to Wickham, with Liverpool reportedly gunning hard for his services. Around £10m should bag the 18-year-old, who is currently in Denmark with England for the U-21 European Championships. 3. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Southampton) The Southampton winger has been linked to Arsenal and Manchester United ever since he made it into the Saints first team. His father, ex-England international Mark Chamberlain, favours a move to the Gunners due to Arsene Wenger's reputation for bringing through youngsters. 4. Max Gradel (Leeds) The pacey winger was heavily linked to Newcastle last January, but remained at Elland Road where he was named both Fans' and Players' Player of the Year. Criticised for his inconsistency earlier in his career, Gradel (left) managed an impressive 18 league goals and earned his first cap for the Ivory Coast. 5. Adam Lallana (Southampton) While Oxlade-Chamberlain might be grabbing the attention of the Premier League elite, Lallana would arguably be a bigger loss to Southampton. The talented 23-year-old is at the heart of most of Saints' good play, and their fans would be loath to lose such an influential player. 6. Craig Mackail-Smith (Peterborough) At 27, Mackail-Smith's big break will come late in his career if ever. Critics will point to his average goal-scoring record last time round in the Championship, but that was in a morale-sapped Peterborough side. Fresh from a confidence-boosting season in League One, a few Premier League sides might fancy a punt on the Scotland international. 7. Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) Burst onto the scene in August with a man-of-the-match display in a 3-2 win over Leicester with one goal and two assists. It turned out to be his only strike of the campaign in 40 appearances, which admittedly isn't a great goal-to-game ratio for a striker. Nonetheless, big clubs are still circling around the England U-19 international. 8. Andy King (Leicester City) Schooled at Chelsea up until the age of 16 before joining Leicester, King (right) has worked his way into both the Foxes' first team and the Wales national side. A midfielder with an eye for goal - 15 in the league this season - he's made himself a permanent fixture in Sven Goran Eriksson's cash-rich team. 9. Joe Bennett (Middlesbrough) Yet another product of Middlesbrough's impressive youth system, Bennett has quietly gone about his business in the Tony Mowbray revival. The left-back's displays were rewarded with two caps for the England U-21s and haven't gone unnoticed in other parts of the North-East. 10. Guy Moussi (Nottingham Forest) A hardened French midfielder who suffered an injury-hit season, making just seven appearances. Still, with his contract up at the City Ground, it hasn't put off potential suitors from snapping up Moussi. Everton boss David Moyes - a regular bargain-hunter of the lower leagues - is reportedly an admirer.
  21. no news, but his twitter http://twitter.com/#!/jackcork1
  22. think you are right. Debt is £100+m, sell around £10m and reinvest. They can't clear the debt in championship so **** or bust!
  23. calm down! I did not assure you of anything! I am not assuming they will walk this league just because they are West Ham and out of the premiership. I said, as you seem so obsessed with my views; they are a club in disarray from boardroom down to fans fighting with players they are seriously in debt - I posted their owners views on this they didn't have a manager and had been turned down by at least one they had players out of contract and others their owners said will leave and based on that I said I wouldn't assume they will walk this league. They have appointed decent manager and will be interested to see what happens with their squad. I reckon they will sign some names - maybe likes of Smith or Cole, but will lose better players. I don't care about where they finish, anymore than many other teams.
  24. well, they clearly are the club with most worrying debt... who are they selling? how much have they spent? I am sure they will spend some decent transfer money - they cannot be seen to give up on promotion.
  25. West Ham are in serious financial trouble, happy to keep you informed. Personal opinion is that I am still not convinced they will be challenging to win the league- although like most sensible people feel we can't really say much until further down transfer window. Depends how much owners go **** or bust for promotion this season.
