  1. He doesn't chicken out at the near post or come out feet first to avoid getting clattered. If you don't like Bazuna fair enough but McCarthy shouldn't have been retained. Facing penalties he's a joke, half way to the post before the taker reaches the ball so is easily beaten going the wrong way. If we feel Bazunu isn't good enough then we have to get an international class goalkeeper who is better. As for palming into his own net it was AMN slicing the ball looping under the bar and the Lincoln centreback piling in on him. Two things VAR, it was a foul secondly why wasn't one of our players blocking the centreback aggressively as he should have been. We are far too passive and need a bit of the old don't take any prisoners mentality. Too many pussies.
  2. It might be we are putting enquiries out there to look like we are going for alternatives and use it as a way to push other negotiations on.

    Stu Armstrong

NJ saying he has a pain problem so rationing his time. Elsewhere on here alleged ITK saying playing with a hip problem. Which makes some sense.
  7. I don't get leaving Armstrong out completely unless he's going to start against Man City. Is this three centrbacks and AMN and Perrault as full backs or Lyanco at right back with AMN holding and Aribo and JWP in midfield. Probably the inflexible manager playing the three centrebacks.
  8. Terrem Moffi. I watched his last two games and he only had a couple of touches and looked totally disconnected and just trotted around. I couldn't get it out of my head, how could he have scored his goals playing like that. I've had a good look round to try and find the answer. What I found was he looked amazing around the penalty area, looked super aware and one on one with the keeper scored in all sorts of ways. It may be he is on his way somewhere and that was the reason for the disconnection. He certainly looks like a goalscorer and although two footed and good in the air looks to have a cracking left foot. Maybe that's why he is being looked at.
  9. Anti Niemi, didn't he sign from Hearts?
  10. Exactly. And Jones has to accommodate him and not try and shoehorn him into a typical Jones clusterfuck. Build around him rather than the other way round. I'm looking forward to long range goals rather than big misses. He puts his foot through the ball rather than trying to curl his foot around it so he gets great power.
  11. Probably miles better than our normal dross. Aribo, Elyonoussi, Walcott, A Armstrong and quick and a hard worker. Looking at what we have to suffer at the moment and certainly quicker and harder working and doesn't look like our resident chickens. Reported we are looking at him and again at the S cup semi final this weekend.
  12. That's where he played on Monday but he looks two footed. You'll have to check his Japanese record. Cracking finish for goal nearly central after robbing Rangers around half way, ran through and comprehensively beat the keeper with a cool finish.
  13. I've seen him several times recently, Quick, tenacious and a good finisher. Watch Celtic's opener against Rangers last Monday. Japanese international and 25 years of age. Looks a decent player. Aribo and Elyonoussie could hardly be called quick or tenacious.
  14. Latest reports we are looking at Maeda from Celtic. Very quick and cool in front of goal. Presumably for wide right,
  15. Cracking signing now get Maeda in for the other wing. A central goalscorer plus Adams would give us a chance.
  16. I'm wondering if things could be getting toxic at SR. Dragan'a money, reported £2.5/4m compensation to Luton, Jones looks on borrowed time here, £10m ish compensation if he's sacked. If it was my money I'd be kicking over a few tables and chairs never mind throwing cups at the wall. NJ is talking about getting results and turning it around but it looks like he hasn't a clue how to select a balanced team of our best players. How's that going to work.
  17. Reports we are looking at Maeda from Celtic. He would be a cracking signing on the other wing.
  18. My biggest complaint is that he doesn't seem to realise that a selected team has a natural shape and will end up playing within that natural shape whatever the managers wish for it to play his preferred way. His team selections have been wish lists rather than setting up a team. The following is purely a framework of players that will naturally play 4-4-2 or with adjustment play 4-3-3. We have proved there is no dynamic in the centrebacks that allows them to play three together so forget it. Pick the best and quickest two. The full backs are not wingers and never will be, use them dashing forward recklessly and we will expose the centrebacks and goalkeeper. the full backs are defenders first and always so make them part of a back four that sets up that way and defends. The midfield is the real problem. Failing a new midfielder, Lavia and JWP. Orsic on the left and from S Armstrong, Edozie, New player similar to Orsic , bring back Tella (covers left and right). Up front Adams and a new striker. That to me looks like a team that will play to its natural shape with the wide players tasked to get back and double bank the fullbacks as required. It also demonstrates what a problem we have with the rest of the players apart from a fit Liveramento not worth a place. It also shows we could at the very least do with Orsic, new defender, midfielder and goalscoring wide player. Jones picks the numbers and shoehorns in the players he wants to play resulting in a disorganised mess followed by chaos after substitutions. Football is a simple game and dossiers etc just confuse the players. A well picked naturally balanced team especially if it plays better than the sum the parts will always outperform an overbriefed unbalanced team.
  19. All's well here, how are you doing? Launceston is a nice place. Used to play cricket on tour around there, Bude, Launceston and North Devon. Nice to see you back on here.
  20. I'd have Tella back in a heartbeat given his improvement, level of performance and pace. He is also getting clattered regularly and getting up and carrying on. He'd be great for the last 30 minutes against tired legs and good cover which we don't have.
  21. Signed for div one Morecambe.
  22. Reported completed first part and sorting paperwork.
  23. You're having a bath, he is a weak character with some nice touches but a shirker and not going to get in where he might get a knock. What is it one assist and no goals to add to about a hundred chicken outs.
  24. I just hope against hope we can pull out of it however unlikely it seems now. Where are you now Andy.
  25. I looked the other day and it looks like they only have a cup game against unknown opposition and nothing until around the following weekend. If we haven't signed him by then. I agree I found it very strange they weren't looking for him at every opportunity or that he wasn't demanding the ball. Maybe he is a goal area player which we need. Add Beto and we could ditch Adams if he is.
