Nightmare for Belgium now, Italy don’t concede too many.

Belgium Italy looking like a decent game so far.

Spain taking their penalties first probably made some difference as well.

Spain in the final after their semi final goes to extra time. With England having the least travel, it’d be difficult to stack up the lead up any more in our favour. England would need to hold up their end first of course, important we don’t let ourselves relax and drop too much after beating Germany.

The winner of the next game will be favourites to get to the final now, there’s no way Spain will be at 100% for the semi after going to extra time twice.

Wow. Switzerland probably favourites on penalties after knocking France out without missing one and Spain missing the last 5 in a row. Be interesting to see whether the pressure tells, on either team.

Oh jeez, it’d be heartbreaking if the Swiss don’t manage to take this to penalties now...

Swiss keeper inspired at the moment but they’ll need a hefty slice of luck to take it all the way to penalties...

Assuming they get through, Spain have gone to extra time twice now, that’s not going to help them.

Ouch. Seemed harsh to me that red.

Swiss in with a real shout against Spain here... they’ve looked the better team to me, certainly look like they’ve been using the ball better.

Reckless would be a yellow. Probably a bit lucky to avoid one, maybe just about covered by ‘careless’ as it looked like he tried to avert it.

Obviously the player thought going for it was the right thing to do as well, like I said, I think he’s been unlucky with the outcome there, but the ref had no choice.

Like I said, intent doesn’t matter, so in effect, no, he couldn’t win the ball legally there if he couldn’t do it without going through the player like that.

Or to not plant his studs in his opponent’s knee.

Ref had no choice, he’s endangered his opponent, intent doesn’t matter for that.

Ooof. Feels like the result of that challenge was worse than the intent. Definitely a red though.

Probably not a huge difference that it’ll make, but certainly won’t help our opponents to have an extra 1/2 hour in their legs.

Sweden giving this a proper go here, really could go either way.

There’s no doubt that it feels a bit worse to go out playing like we do if it doesn’t work, it’s certainly not unbeatable. You’re always going to feel like we could have taken more risks and got a different result. Oooh, equaliser, now the Sweden game is interesting.

Really nice technique for the goal there, although the keeper should probably keep it out.
