KWP during technical difficulties for Solent...

And Tella

Broja!

Obviously he’s been fooled by his own team’s diving antics.

Good performance, decent result, could have won!

Probably, aye... Martin Odegaard: Arsenal sign midfielder from Real Madrid for about £30m - BBC Sport

Indeed. Grealish was replacing a shorter contract that already had a known (albeit smaller) release clause in it when he signed the last Villa one. Completely different situation.
-
Aye, we tend to do pretty well on that front. I wouldn't say we'd never use them, for example Chelsea effectively have one for Livramento, but it's certainly very rare.
-
Villa fans seem convinced that JWP will have a release clause in his contract now because he has the same agent that Grealish had, and that he'll be leaving next summer. It's also the same agent that JWP had when he signed a new contract last season, as far as I know, and that appears not to have had a release clause. If there is one, I reckon it'd most likely be a very high one, or a relegation release clause, otherwise, like you say, his last contract still had us in a very strong position.
-
Seems likely he’ll stay this season now…
-
The transfer window's still open and journalists have been creating stories on the basis of what happened earlier in the window. No chance JWP actually moves this window, we don't want to sell, Villa can't afford what we'd want if we did, and JWP isn't going to force through a move to a team that's just sold their best player and is facing just as uncertain a season as we are.

Really disappointing second half. Just a bad combination of Everton coming out far better than the first half, then a defensive lapse, and after that they had the momentum and scored two really good goals. Armstrong getting off the mark might be the most important thing to happen today.
-
It was probably a choice between getting him and 25M for him at some point, or not having him here at all. It’s not a loan, so not impossible (although very unlikely) he could choose to stay here too. Club have done well to get him I reckon.
-
Ooohhhh... he might actually be awesome for us ^_^
-
These players have obviously earned their starting places in training and pre-season. I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do
-
Assuming this goes through, Adams, Armstrong, and Adam Armstrong all in attack for us will be fun for the commentators next season.
-
Risk of a Championship striker having to make the step up vs the risk of an injury prone player managing to stay fit. Could go either way. Not that it makes a difference, we didn't have a choice over which risk to take. Quite optimistic that Armstrong could turn out to be a gem for us though.

Alas, 'tis a shame he's gone, but he put in some fantastic performances for us. Difficult for me to look past this one as one of my favourites. FULL HIGHLIGHTS | Portsmouth 0-4 Southampton - YouTube

Watching football with away fans in and hearing a rousing rendition of "The referee's a ****er" ring out around the stands is the most normal things have felt in quite a while.

Shearer and Le Tissier for me. Shearer I just missed out on seeing live for Saints, I wasn't taken to games very often back then, every time I went he wasn't playing for one reason or another. Le Tissier... most attackers move to get into dangerous areas. The most dangerous area when Le Tiss played was wherever he chose to stand.

Alas, the information you have could have saved us all. If only you had a change of mind. And were still able to post here.

Ings is obviously the best finisher we’ve got when he’s fit, but his fitness is a bit of a coin toss that’s not going to get better as time goes on. We didn’t do too bad at spreading the goals out last season. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/top-scorers

Disappointing, but I guess the money is pretty decent. Two seasons of a very decent striker and then a profit didn’t turn out too bad. Difficult to replace but at least the money means we probably won’t need to sell JWP.

The great big gaping holes in your ‘theory’, are that there’s no motivation to do it, it’d probably be impossible to carry out from a scientific point of view, it’d be impossible to actually carry out with no-one with first hand knowledge blowing the whistle, all available evidence is that nothing of the sort has been done, and there’s every motivation to do the complete opposite. You’d have to be dumb as rocks to still be trying to push it and think you’d convince anyone at this point. Still, carry on, we’re all having a good laugh at how poorly you’re trolling here.
-
And here was me thinking you might want to answer the question that’s pointing out the big obvious hole in your ‘theory’. It’s making you look a bit silly. Again.
