Those viewpoints are starting from a pre-determined conclusion, ignoring any evidence to the contrary, and misrepresenting information they can use to make it appear as if it supports their view. It's not in any way scientific. Not to mention that Reiner Fullmich is conveniently forgetting to mention that he's not acting in any capacity as a Doctor of medicine, but is instead acting as a lawyer. They're not contributing to the pool of information on Covid in any way that's helpful or useful.

It's a disgusting thing to do, to be honest, to misrepresent data like that. If people decide not have the vaccine, that's fair enough. Could be they decided that they'd rather face the higher risk of harm from catching Covid and passing it on, could be ethical or religious grounds, or any other reason, but at the end of the day it's their choice. When they've based that decision, though, on false data, or out of context data, or false conclusions, those people haven't made a free informed choice. That's been taken away from them.

What exactly do you think those numbers show? Because they show that the vaccine is working exactly as well as has been reported.

Yeah, I guess you're right, I could have avoided reading dozens of independent scientific white papers from around the world investigating Covid, or looking at the real world data from hundreds of sources showing the effectiveness of vaccines, and instead thought for myself and listened to the people on Twitter that have found out that they're all in a secret cabal plotting to make everyone's lives, including their own, worse so that... wait, what are they actually aiming to do by doing that again?

Don’t forget that this is the effect of three jabs they’re measuring. Without the booster, effectiveness really is reduced, especially against transmission. it’s a bit of luck that the same vaccine is still effective used as a booster. The UK in particular is well placed to take advantage of this, already having a big stockpile of vaccines now, and the infrastructure in place to distribute them extremely quickly. We might just be able to get ahead of Omicron infections at the pace we’re going.
