What a silly thread

Kelvin Davis- are saints fans the most fickle in the league?
Snowballs2 replied to shurlock's topic in The Saints
KD has settled down this season, he has played well from the start and would be the first name on my team sheet. Lets hope that he continues in the same form for the rest of the season. -
So are you suggesting that all thoughts be censored, no freedom of expression, the same rule should opearate for those with opposite views then

London a long way away ? an hour by train from Waterloo, now Cheshire 4 hours by car that IS a long way

We ALL want to see Saints win EVERY game, however what us realists want is to see an end to false optimism, with the young team that we have our only objective this year is to avoid relegation and get as many points as possible. That is a realistic view...so whats wrong with that. We don't have the rose tinted specs that the super optimists have, too often in the past silly statements are made to wind up a realistic attitude...Like "we will walk this league"
-
Surman is from South Africa
-
I don't think it wise or clever to make fun of people, it is a terrible thing to have and I for one would not want it. Just accept that there are those with rose tinted glasses and there are more honest and realistic people. Optimists anoy negatives and vice versa

Sundance your postings are becoming even more extreme, it seems that you wish to be regarded by most of us as doppleganger of Scooby. Have you ever felt so stronly about something in your life that it makes you angry, have you any understanding of the words morality or principle? Lowe like it or not screwed up big time, first time around, his attitude to his paying public and his name calling was nothing short of disgraceful. His lack of investment after the cup final in players Strachan needed to sign and his subsequent refusal ensured our relegation. Is it any wonder that many people on here decided on his return that they will not prop up a regime that was led by this pompous judas.

So sorry to hear your news, I lost my wife to lung cancer December 2005, it is a vile disease
-
Great result for the YOOF, two on the trot will help confidence
-
Its looking good, well done the yoof..two wins on the trot will do the confidence good so hang on in there.
-
Thanks to all you guys for your good wishes.

Nothing to do with SOS, one particular poster was exceedingly rude about him. Its a shame I always liked his contributions
-
33,000 shares sold, it might be an idea for Rupes and mike to give them away at the turnstiles about 2 each for every person attending tomorrow nights game, as they are as cheap as chips at the moment it would not cost a fortune
-
Thats being disrespectful to...Knob Cheese
-
Well someone has to tone it down a bit that is for sure. Whilst I don't seek to hang Rupes for everything that is wrong at SMS, any other person coming in would have had a honeymoon period. I am no longer going to let my blood boil after todays visit to the Doctors thats for sure, I have to have a triple bypass next year and also another operation from a neurosurgeon to keep me a little mobile. Suddenly Saints problems are not high on my list of worries
-
Sadly Nick (I appreciate my view means very little) I tend to agree with this guys view. I have no idea if you are on a deliberate wind up course, but many of your contributions appear to be throwing petrol on the fire deliberately in the knowledge you will get a reaction. I just do not support the view that Lowe / Wilde could expect to walk back in and be greeted as a long lost brother. Like it or not he did screw up last time and it appears he has come back to finish the job. It is possible that those of us who do not want the deadly duo anywhere near our club, would be less critical if the wind up merchants were to be a little less that way inclined
-
Having just watched george Osbourne the Tory shadow chancellor wind up his conference speach...I wish I could remember in full his last couple of sentances. It could have been Saints that he was talking about when he asked the realists to be optimistic. The fact is Saints are probably in better finacial shape right now than UK Plc.
-
I don't remember you doing it under Crouch...why should we do it under Lowe
-
But like Scooby thats what Nick does best, he is a mini version , a lightweight wind up merchant that most of us can see through. In reality he is probably as worried as the rest of us
-
My view also
-
Thats what realists do, I keep saying that one win does not mean security, does not mean our troubles are over, does not mean that we have a good coach does not mean that we have the players in the team to survive. Of course ANY win is great, but must be tempered with reality. Just look at the number of contributors on here who did not expect the win, now that should tell you that all is far from well. Just because we have a more realistic view of the team etc, does not mean that we cannot enjoy a win, no matter how infrequent they are
-
Spot on...one poxy win and all of a sudden we are the dogs whatsits...this is the difference between the realists and the rest. Yes we realists did enjoy the win, however we know that the next win may be a while away.
