Up to 5817 tickets for Palace away - SOLD OUT
stevegrant replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Would imagine home sales will be database-only. Not even convinced I'd be able to get tickets there with a Croydon home postcode and no previous sales history. -
If we go up, what away games would you want to go to?

His first goal for them. Not done much since then, tbf -
They were, but Cortese was only appointed as a director halfway through. I'd argue that most CEOs of "major, multi-million pound companies" don't get paid nearly 10% of the company's turnover. If/when our turnover jumps to £50-60m, a £1m+ salary for the CEO might be justified.

Trott getting out to a ball even I'd probably manage to hit to the boundary was an impressive effort

As I said, I'm not entirely convinced as to the accuracy of those figures, but they were all in one place rather than having to trawl each of the respective official sites. -

Prices according to Football Ground Guide (not entirely convinced they're all accurate, pretty sure QPR charge far more than is listed on that site), with most likely price for us in bold - some of the games where it's likely we'd take big numbers might, for that reason, put us as a higher category than you'd other wise expect (Fulham, for example) - and any upper/lower tier splits shown together: Arsenal - £51 or £35 Aston Villa - £43, £38, £36 or £34 Blackburn - £35 or £29 Bolton - £27 or £20 Chelsea - £59/£56, £55/£52 or £50/£47 Everton - £36/£34/£31 Fulham - £40, £35 or £30 Liverpool - £48, £44 or £42 Man City - £48/£38 Man United - £43 Newcastle - £25 Norwich - £45, £35 or £30 QPR - £55, £45 or £35 Stoke - £35, £30 or £25 Sunderland - £35 or £29 Swansea - £35 Tottenham - £53/£47, £40/£36 or £36/£31 West Brom - £42, £40, £29 or £25 Wigan - £28, £25 or £20 Wolves - £34 or £24 Taking the cheapest ticket from every club, the average price is £31.40. I wouldn't expect us to necessarily be the cheapest category for every away game either. -
I suspect most (if not all) of the loan deals were with an *obligation* to buy rather than an *option*. That way, the administrator can guarantee that those wages are off the payroll for good.

Our OS usually shows it in the match report. No idea why they've not done so for this one

Wigan, Wigan and, er, Wigan. That's the only one in the top flight I've not been to before. -
Palace Away Coach Meeting Points
stevegrant replied to samster4296's topic in Saints Away Supporters
I *think* (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) they go from near the Guildhall -
Has there been any word on whether the 1000 or so thickos who had bought tickets for the derby game but not booked a seat on a coach had sorted themselves out yet? That would be hilarious if hundreds of them have paid £27 for a match voucher but can't get on a coach

To be fair, as far as I'm aware, he'd been posting on various fan forums for years before he headed up the consortium that bought the club out of administration a couple of years ago. As long as he doesn't go acting the prat or changing into full PR-spiel mode, I don't really see a problem with it. Reading that thread, he doesn't appear to be the sort who panders to other fans, he seems quite level-headed and objective - hence them giving us 6k tickets because they know they won't sell anywhere near enough. -

He's the chairman, I believe. -
The one Dan's talking about is from Hedge End - the Southern trains don't stop there.

Don't forget the Pompey game is over Easter, so I expect a lot of people will have made plans to go away that weekend. Also expect many of those assumed it would be televised...
-
Not everyone will want to go to the Pompey game for whatever reason. I'm assuming Donny are bringing a very small following tomorrow, which has allowed us to open up extra blocks in the Northam for home fans. I wouldn't bother going down into the Northam concourse at half-time as a result, it'll be worse than usual
-
I don't think they've said anywhere that buying for tomorrow's game guarantees you a Pompey ticket, they've always said it's first-come, first-served. If people who buy for tomorrow miss out on a Pompey ticket, they've only themselves to blame, they've had more than enough time.

Jos and Jose best centre back pairing in Championship?
stevegrant replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
He's only played a couple of games there recently, for most of the season he's been at centre-back alongside Abdoulaye Faye. -
No point going to Waterloo as you'll end up back at Clapham Junction anyway. When you buy your train ticket, get a return to either Thornton Heath or Selhurst station (will be pennies difference between the two, if any).
-
The Football League highlights are available on the BBC website two days after the game. For the PL, you're best off downloading the ESPN Goals app (free) onto your phone. I'm not sure there's any website that's allowed to show PL highlights.
-
Worth bearing in mind that the "via Barnham" route takes almost twice as long as going via Clapham Junction and there's only one an hour (if you're lucky)
-
You can't buy GroupSave tickets online, if you want to buy in advance (no real advantage of doing so), you'd have to do so at a station ticket office. Also, the online booking systems don't appear to recognise that the 9th is a bank holiday, so the fares are ****ing ridiculous
-
No problem, Coventry have a very kind set of fixtures at home, they'll win most of them and stay up.

Worth noting that the UEFA FFP regulations only apply to clubs seeking to play in European competition. We wouldn't be in a position to do so for at least a year, and many would (rightly) argue that it may be entirely unrealistic to expect us to be anywhere near qualifying for Europe just two years after playing in the third tier
