  1. Interesting. "It's the best browsing experience you've ever had" Wonder if it includes Flash...
  2. Yep, results expunged from the record books, all bets voided.
  3. That's the going rate for a corporate website these days, particularly one with a large amount of rich media content like video interviews, reports etc.
  4. No, that's the "Academy" training base at HMS Collingwood.
  5. No idea how much they're owed in backdated fees, but I'd be very surprised if they weren't paying upwards of £20-25k a month for the hosting, development and maintenance of the site.
  6. They both usually link to the same place - little bit odd they've put a "maintenance" message up on one but just a "website unavailable" one on the other.
  7. You'd be surprised. Expect they're paying (or not!) somewhere in the region of £20k a month for the hosting, development, etc.
  8. But then if people knew they could just download it two days later, presumably they wouldn't buy it at the ground?
  9. That was the point...
  10. Errr.... http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/
  11. That doesn't make sense - I think the sell-on was for 20%, so if they sold for £500k, they'd have to give Watford £100k, leaving themselves with £400k. £400k is still a hell of a lot more than nothing.
  12. Bear in mind that the gate receipts are only divided AFTER all necessary costs are deducted, including policing...
  13. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/contact/
  14. Yep, you'll be able to smell them from there...
  15. That's cheap compared to their league game prices...
  16. Whether they're posting "childish" things or not, it's nothing that would interest "his legal team" in any way, shape or form.
  17. For what exactly?
  18. The idea of it is to act as a deterrant against getting into financial difficulty in the first place. There isn't an awful lot else the authorities can do to regulate the financial stability of clubs - a wage cap would technically be illegal and clubs would just get around it with "image rights" payments etc (see Sol Campbell), and they can't be seen to bail clubs out as that wouldn't be fair on those who do run their clubs sensibly.
  19. Notts County, Chester City, Cardiff City and Portsmouth will all be in administration by the end of the season, IMO.
  20. To be honest, while I've got sympathy for the fans, other clubs raped and pillaged us when we were in the same situation, so now the boot's on the other foot I'd be disappointed if we weren't looking to take advantage.
  21. I suspect that the vultures who are circling and attempting to buy their better players are offering relative pittances at the moment, hoping that Pompey get desperate enough to accept them. When the end of the transfer window gets closer, those offers will increase a bit, but the desperation to sell will also increase, so there will be more deals agreed.
  22. Could be a case of "give them enough rope..."
  23. He certainly had some sort of involvement at Perugia (I think) in Italy. They've never been shy of controversy or headlines, having sacked a South Korean player for scoring the goal that knocked Italy out of the 2002 World Cup and then attempting to sign a female player.
  24. Absolutely. Bournemouth have 13 fit players for their next two games, and yet the FA are still refusing to allow them to sign anyone on loan, even if the parent club pays all the wages!
  25. I can't believe the Premier League would relax the embargo until the players have been paid on time. If there's another delay then all that does is confirm that they cannot afford the players they've currently got, let alone buy any new ones.
