Why would any Pompey player take advantage of the "handing your notice in" clause at the moment? While they're being paid late, they are still actually getting paid, and there's no way they'd get anywhere near the same sort of wages elsewhere.

There seems to be a bit of a grey area here because Begovic went to Ipswich on an "emergency loan" deal. As such, his appearances for them may not count for the "played for two or more clubs" rule. It's also entirely possible that the Premier League/FA are able to give special dispensation to bypass the rule under exceptional circumstances, e.g. the selling club desperately needs the money...

He's got 10% IIRC, and as part of the deal he signed with Al-Mirage, he's also responsible for servicing 10% of the debt. He would be an absolute genius if he was able to flog that responsibility to the fans...

Essentially, Begovic is the one player they're desperate to hold onto as he'll have a bigger resale value in the future, and Storrie and Jacob are ****-scared of the fan reaction if they sell him. Whether they'll have a choice in the next 3 hours or so is another matter...

I would have thought that's the most unlikely signing of them all, to be honest. Valencia are absolutely skint (perhaps more so than you!), so if they're going to loan players out, they'll be wanting the wages paid by the loaning club - something I suspect you'll struggle with.
