  1. It was a good idea lol Alpine Saint pulled clear in the final few furlongs as sadoldgit started to show his age. The battle for 3rd place was tight, thedelldays involved in a photo finish as Dune came with a late charge after appearing unsure whether to race or not at times. After a long look it was TDD by a long nose. St Landrew was suspended for the rest of the season for interference. On the betting front Stkip finally decided to place £50 on the nose on Pilchards who promptly refused at the next, Saint stevo also did his money ( or rather his Dad's money !). Afterwards and somewhat unbelieavably AS was unavailable for comment though sadoldgit did say he'd get him next time
  2. Now there is sure to be a stewards enquiry with TDD being badly hampered by dark horse St Landrew who quite frankly seems more intent on having a love in than getting involved in the race. TDD not happy !
  3. Thanks Landy, Sad Old Git is really getting into his stride now, it's a real battle up front between him and Alpine Saint who should benefit from all the high altitude training and is used to wet conditions. Thedelldays, Pilchards and the rest of the field are clearly letting the leaders slug it out and hoping to come with a late charge. Ooh, a mistake from Alpine Saint there who is struggling a bit it would seem, Sad Old Git seems to have plenty in reserve at the moment and is clear 4/6 favourite "in running", been heavily backed by Saint Stevo it seems with Stkiptanui hedging his bets until he is sure he is on a loser. Over to you......
  4. Since I agree with the actual sentiment you are trying to express I will not be rude about that pathetic attempt to be the top TSW punster !!

  7. 3/4, damn your luck. Ah well your erudite posts on here will be sorely missed!
  8. Some truly absurd comments on here tonight even by the normal standard. The 3 posted originally by Saint_clark are 3 of those which stood out as I was reading through the match thread. I vote we have 2 match threads, one on here for those who can post sensibly and one on TMS for those who must either be wind up merchants or totally clueless. Pardew out ? That is so ridiculous, in fact one of the most ridiculous things I've heard in 45 years of supporting Saints ! He has turned this club around, made some very, very good signings and at this level is an excellent manager who we are damned lucky to have. We didn't even reach a positive points tally until October 3rd when we beat Gillingham, that was ELEVEN games in and we were obviously bottom of the table at that point in time. Anyone who really thought we had a chance of the play offs then must be the most eternal of optimists as even with my positive nature I was more concerned at just getting to mid table safety. We have with some ease, in many ways the fact we are still mathematically in with a chance of the play offs is an excellent effort after our start albeit I suspect we will fall short. Next season we'll know exactly what we can achieve, I expect automatic promotion, I also expect and want Pardew to be the man who delivers it. I'm not expecting Cortese to get rid of Pardew, shame on him if he does and for certain he'll alienate far more supporters than he pleases.
  9. Was thinking exactly the same, reckon Chance Du Roy would have been 10/1+ in running most of the way. Jockey did do well as the horse made a few small errors and needed to be kept in the race, good ride. Lucky indeed that horses cannot read ! Just in fact caught up with all the racing, amazingly on the Tip Exchange ( always worth a look) all my win only bets won , not even a placer amongst the ew bets : Folk 14:10 Helen Of Toy Each Way Lost Folk 14:40 Rocker Each Way Lost Folk 15:10 Caramelita Won Evens Ludl 15:30 Kennel Hill Won 4/6 Folk 15:40 Spitfire Won 4/1 Ludl 16:00 Chance Du Roy Won 3/1 Folk 16:10 Hawkridge Star Won 9/4 Ludl 16:30 Just Rob Won 9/4 Folk 16:40 Holyfield Warrior Each Way Lost Folk 16:40 Mick Is Back Each Way Lost I really loved the ride McCoy gave Kennel Hill, a really temperemental horse though with a lot of ability, one big reason for not backing it was that it doesn't always want to race! However, at even money this morning was definitely worth a few quid and it won by 9 lengths without even breaking sweat. Really one of the easiest winners ever but the way McCoy rode was sublime, just coaxed the horse round, only went to the front about 3 fences out and never had a problem. What that race and the Chance Du Roy race showed was how important jockeys are and often they get criticised but McCoy and O'Brien were both excellent in different ways. Of course McCoy we all know about but I'll be looking out for a certain TJ O'brien in future!
