I had him 10% ahead last night -
Shame, your post was ok until you decided to get abusive, what the hell gives you the right to call anyone an idiot? Totally out of order.

There has been talk of a salary cap in the Premier League but of course nothing has happened. As I have mentioned before it works well in Rugby League, makes teams more competitive and therefore the whole of Super League better and a more level playing field. Also as shown 1n 2007 they WILL implement a points penalty if it is broken, Wigan lost 4 points and Bradford two. -

Certainly NOT fine: Loophole definition: " A loophole is a weakness or exception that allows a system, such as a law or security, to be circumvented or otherwise avoided." That's not fine in my book. -

Definitely has to be the latter as per the Daily Mail article link above I'd say. -

Well they are bending the salary cap rules for sure which makes a mockery of having it in the first place. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1209093/The-cap-doesnt-exactly-fit-Notts-County-keeper-Kasper-Schmeichel.html -

How the hell can Notts County legitimately afford the wages of Saganowski having already signed Campbell ? Seems they are making up their own rules. -
Been released by Bristol City so he is certainly available.

Even living in Watford it's still the media coverage TBH. The bush telegraph is so slow.

What hype is that exactly? As for Lambert 29 goals last season is not bad for a donkey. Just imagine if he was any good well then he might get 30 goals. Every post I can remember of yours in recent times is so negative and that along with using the name of one of our all time greats is why I remember. What exactly would make you happy? Spending £20m on some over rated PL player maybe but then again I doubt even that would be enough. I'm really baffled as to why people suddenly assume we have money to burn and I certainly cannot remember that anyone within the club suggested we had.

Lol, I'm like that every second I'm on this board!

No Pahars joined us in March 1999 after scoring a hat trick ( a header and a goal with either foot) in a reserve team match in February but then work permit problems ( why always us!) delayed the transfer but not too long for him to make a vital impact of course. In fact you could say he was a deadline signing, just not the August deadline!
-
Oops, yes, Sorry to confuse you !

Now we are bowling Adams who has gone for 12 runs in his 1st 3 balls. Worcs are going to win inside 20 overs at this rate! No sign of Dawson.

Oh dear: H Riazuddin 2 0 20 0 10.00 DJ Balcombe 3 0 25 0 8.33 (3w) SM Ervine 4 0 40 0 10.00 Imran Tahir 2.5 0 18 0 6.35

That's pretty awful, surely that kind of delivery is illegal and yet we pay the price.
-
Somewhat of an understatement. Losing Cork did not help and why no Griffiths or Tremlett come to that ?
-
Well clearly several of them, as I posted above, were needed and did well for us !

Hirst, Beresford and Palmer were all signed I believe by Dave Jones in 1997 and were a major factor is us finishing 12th after being favourites for relegation at the start of the season. I know from memory both Hirst and Palmer have been criticised on here though it is hard to understand why. Hirst scored some very good and important goals and despite his clumsy appearance Palmer actually did a good job in midfield with his non stop running style, certainly not the most graceful of players but not a reason to run him down. Beresford was also a decent left back. It's easy listing players who apparently were "let downs" but pointless when there is no justification for it. And if wanted to be really argumentative I'd say Frank Worthington (1983) and Colin Clarke ( 1986) were at least 2 very good deadline signings post Keegan and I'm sure there are more.
