  1. Ok, just don't shoot the messenger ! I had a 10/1 winner on Tuesday and a 14/1 winner yesterday, shame you weren't on those! Oh and I did manage to get the 50/1 on Betfred and lay it at 33's on BF though it is now 40/1 ! So I can't lose either way.
  2. Yes I would say, maybe £3 only ! Keep it small as the horse tends to hang badly in running.
  3. I'm surprised you're surprised TBH
  4. Just something to talk about TBH on an otherwise dull day. No signings for heavens sake!
  5. Only because spread betting was not around in the 60's and 70's !
  6. 'arry ever admit to not being whiter than white, I doubt it! Despite his level of dodginess being off the scale he still gets an amazingly good press. Puzzling TBH.
  7. Hants won toss and are batting. The good news is Cork is playing ( as is Cook for Essex which is even better news!). Teams : Hants; JHK Adams, MJ Lumb, JM Vince, SM Ervine, CC Benham, LA Dawson, N Pothas*†, DG Cork, DA Griffiths, H Riazuddin, Imran Tahir Essex AN Cook, ML Pettini*, V Chopra, JK Maunders, RN ten Doeschate, JS Foster†, GR Napier, TJ Phillips, MS Westfield, CJC Wright, Danish Kaneria
  8. Actually reading this made me think as to who was the most honest, law abiding person I have ever known. The answer was my Dad though once, shock, horror, he made an insurance claim and added an item worth £50 which was not actually stolen though £50 in cash was and was not covered by his insurance. So was I let down by this lapse ? Well no since it was my idea as £50 he could not really afford to lose ! The point is I doubt anyone on here under the age of 16 will never have comitted some kind of criminal act no matter how minor they think it is..........and now I wait for all the Saints with halos to emerge

That said this saga will have its day ( especially on here!) and then pass on by, the 100's of goals he scored for us will never be forgotten.
  10. More likely in order to provoke debate on here TBH !
  11. Oh dear, how on earth will they cope! They'll be postponing games soon on the basis they only have 17 fit internationals !
  12. Nope, the commentary on Poker generally spoils it, Jesse May's the only one who ever seems to be enthusiastic which he is.
  13. Indeed but if you could have got the 50/1 at Betfred and laid it at 33/1 = guaranteed profit! Unfortunately it's now 25/1 on Betfred as well, must have been my five grand
  14. Redcar 5.20 Carnivore Wolv 6.20 Night Trade ew - grab the 50/1 on offer at Betfred NOW Generally 25/1, 33/1 on Betfair, Might be able to back and then lay at shorter odds in which case go for a win bet.
  15. In my account TBH
  16. They do, I'm very surprised they allowed this to be published, suspect it was "missed"!
  17. Yep, and all I see and hear on ATR is how great it will be to see Fallon back, don't think so ! I do have very, very small bets ( as per the tips thread on general sports) but even then I'm on the look out for what they call a "springer in the market" and immediately get suspicious. One sure thing I'll not bet on any race involving Fallon and ther are a few other jockeys/trainers I avoid too. Back on to the main point and it is really unacceptable to do anything as a sportsman to bring the game into disrepute, wonder why MLT raised it after so long ? Guilty conscience or just arrogance that it apparently did not matter ? Probably the latter TBH.
  18. Can't condone this at all though it has to be said that bookmakers legally "cheat" all the time often using the palpable error "rule". Has cost me money in the past, eg when I placed a bet at long odds and laid it at much shorter odds on Betfair. Was actually a case of two horses with similar names, one should have been about 2/1 and the other 20/1 but they mixed them up. Pretty naive of me in truth but still having accepted the bet I would expect it to be honoured but of course that's one reason why there are very few poor bookies. In fact though in horse racing it's very common for certain trainers to prepare a horse for a betting coup by getting it to run below par in a few races and then back it at much longer odds when they think it will win. Of course does not always go to plan but often enough when you can get say 10/1 for an even money shot. It happens as I know personal experience and only shows that betting is invariably a mugs game and how often do you hear of match rigging in many sports.
  19. Ok, an engineer called yesterday and replaced the hard drive. However, it seems the motherboard and also the fan are knackered not to mention the keyboard connection ( MY fault apparently!). Now it seems to me that a computer which I have only had 3 months and not even been able to use for 3 weeks should not have such problems unless it was absolute junk in the 1st place. I have now had to wait in all day for 2 days and still the wretched thing is not working. I would love to go into Curry's when they are at their busiest and just throw it on the floor shouting some appropriate words very loudly! However, given I'm not able to afford to do that I have to just carry on waiting and hope this old PC which really is on it's last legs and why I replaced it continues to work. Ridiculous!
  20. Now that's being over optimistic
  21. Blimey, I'm on a roll !
  22. OMG, one of the worst songs ever !!
  23. Senegal did not qualify
  24. Think he only cost £500,000 when signed by Rangers who actually paid a staggering £12m for Flo !
  25. Yes, just released by MK Dons !
