What a shambles, 252 all out after being on 230 when Ervine was 5th out. Almost a carbon copy of the 1st innings. The players really need to look hard at themselves, I suspect many are still resting on their laurels after the FP win. Very few players that came out of the game with much credit it has to be said. Top score was Carberry (70) and even Tahir was expensive when bowling. However, the player who really annoys me is Tremlett, he was a better player 8-10 years ago than he is now. Used to score some useful runs but managed to last 4 balls for his 2 ducks and 2-106( both lower order batsman) suggests he is either out of form completely, has no confidence, is still not fully fit or probably a combination of all 3. Shame is I've always liked him as a person and a player but really that's just not good enough though as I said all round very dismal. CC2 looms I fear, on this form it is almost a dead cert.

Tahir is stumped for 4 247/9. Really pitiful.

Not likely, another collapse. Now 239/7 after losing our 5th wicket ( Ervine) at 230. Still 35 behind when a draw DID look more than possible. Just Burrows and Tremlett who are in and Tahir and Griffiths to come. Tremlett can bat and he and Burrows are our only slim chance I suggest. Oh just noticed Ervine was run out !

Indeed we will see but he is the Captain of Chelsea Reserves which must mean he has some ability. But it's really up to us to trust that whoever we bring in will be expected to perform well, our signings have been Ok so far !

He played 9 games in Lge1 for Yeovil 2 years ago when he was only 18 so pretty hard to judge I'd say.

Bridcutt would be good as he can also play CB in an emergency though more of a holding midfield player. Oh and he did play for Watford on loan last year.

Finally all out for 524 though even the 10th wicket managed 36! 3 wickets for Tahir and Griffiths, 2 for Tremlett ( eventually) and one for Dimi. Surely though if our batsman apply themselves we could still get a draw..... or wishful thinking !?

One thing I have noticed is that we lost our 5th wicket at 203, Yorks at 204 so we really must be the worst team in the country for bowling at the lower order.
