Well if Yorks can put on well over a 100 for their 8th wicket we should be able to make a decent score IF the batsman apply themselves but it's been clear all season we are lacking a cutting edge in our bowling and only if Tahir finds plenty of spin are we likely to win. If we can stay in League 1 of the CC that is something we urgently need to address as Tremlett just doesn't seem ever to be fit enough to have any real impact, Dimi is more of a containing bowler generally ( obviously ideal for one day games) and the rest like Ervine and Griffiths are very in and out. Oh and Corky will struggle in 4 day games now I feel.

I go on to Cricinfo, tends to refresh itself and as long as I keep the page open can keep tabs on the score along the bottom of the screen, 15 minutes play and 5 runs for no wicket. Really thrilling stuff!

I noticed it was slow going for both teams, under 3 an over. Need to get them out for around 300 I'd say and then bat decently and get at least 250 ahead. Weather permitting there is going to be a result by the looks of it and we really cannot afford to lose. No disrespect to Burrows who is a decent keeper when I've seen him but we really miss Pothas in the mid/lower order.

I would still hope we could sign Jaidi and I can remember Sodje being mentioned though that may have been last season, time flies too quickly! If we could get those 2 then problem solved but don't think JPS is a bad option either. As I said above I'll trust Pardew's judgement, he's been Ok so far !

Given he was a regular in the team it was clear he had something to offer. You can argue reasonably that he was "too clumsy" or that he was surrounded by too many bad players depending on where you stand on possibly signing him. If Pardew does go for him I'd rather back his judgement any day to be honest.

Can think of many worse/more boring draws than this one. We have a Premier league team at home and a realistic chance of winning. Give me that than say Spurs away any time.
