Haddin is back so I can keep him in, Clark in for Hauritz.
-
So I guess our team is: Strauss Cook Bopara Bell Colly Prior Broad Swann Anderson Onions Harmison
-
England win toss and bat 1st, good !
-
Harmy in for Flintoff, Broad plays as does Prior, no Trott.
-
Indeed though I am logged in and ready to panic ! Though I have replaced Flintoff with Stuart Clark who it seems will play.
-
Prior IS fit !! Teams need to be announced in the next 5 minutes.
-
No, I'm waiting to see if I should drop him from my fantasy league team and if still injured bring in Prior but if he is not fit either It will surely have to be Manou !
-
He's warming up and might yet play !
-
Tremlett was definitely injured( of course ), Cork was rested, Taylor really only plays one day games ( in his contract I think) but no idea about Lumb. Still I suspect another draw with rain about and several hours already lost.
-
Toss at 10.40, Prior warming up !
-
Indeed, it's pretty dumb !
-
Prior is still in with a chance....... I think :smt102

Mustard scored 90 odd for Durham last night.

Well it will be Anderson, Onions, Broad and Swann which is 4 so unless you're saying one of these is so bad as not be considered a bowler then I'm not sure how you arrive at 3. At a guess judging by the comment it seems you might want Broad to be omitted but he actually bowled well in the 2nd innings at Edgbaston so I'm not too unhappy if he is going to play. Harmison might just be the player we need to replace Flintoff, in which case we could leave out Broad and go with: Strauss, Cook, Bopara, Bell, Trott, Collingwood, Prior, Swann, Anderson, Harmison, Onions. As I see it and we'll know soon enough the other option is to play Broad or Sidebottom in place of Trott which will give us a long tail especially if we opt for Sidebottom. Anyway, I have more important things to do, ie sort out my own Fantasy team and replace at least Flintoff !!

Fair to say I think Hants rode their luck a little ( especially Ervine who survived at least 2close run outs and a dolly of a catch ) but fielded much better than Yorks and that really made the difference.
-
Indeed and I can think of at least 3 top class players from Australia who were refused work perrmits this year in Greg Bird, Michael Crocker and Todd Carney. Fair to say all 3 were involved in off field problems which were the primary reason for the rejection but it did not stop Greg Bird getting a work permit to play in France for Catalan Dragons. Others had their work permits granted on appeal. So it is clearly not a straightforward and automatic process and thus I was not overly surprised this happened.
-
I'm not surprised by this though I don't believe it is anything more than the very short article states!! No work permit = we cannot sign him but neither can any other English club though appeals are often successful.
-
I assume Tremlett is injured again ! On paper does not look the strongest of bowling line ups for us so I imagine we need to build a very big innings score and rely mainly on Tahir.
