I've only seen Charles at CB for the Bournemouth pre-season friendly. He was way out of his depth. One game out-of-position is not a great base for judgement, appreciated, but I didn't see anything to suggest he could fill that role in that game.

RM cut a frustrated figure in yesterday’s pre-match press conference when talking about the anaemic squad and the current one-way traffic of personnel out the door.

Not been impressed with Manning so far. Especially as he seemed to be in demand from several clubs.

Sensed frustration from RM to the outgoings, lack of incomings and current depth of squad. ‘it would be nice to be left with some players’ and other comments.

We won’t know until the transfer window has closed and we know what our team / squad looks like.

Charles was shocking against Bournemouth but it doesn’t help playing one of our many diddy men at CB.
