  1. What has Elton done in the past that makes him unfit to be a parent? So far you have listed the crimes of; temper, petulance, child like behaviour and openly discussing sexual activity. Lets forget about the $250m his Aids foundation has raised, the bankrolling of Watford Football Club a club that he still supports, his support of the Give A Damn Campaign.
  2. The Pitcairn Islanders who were paedophiles? Pitcairn being one fo the most remote islands, with a population of 40 odd, where traditionally the age of consent is 12. Your point is not really relevant to the wider discussion.
  3. Why would there be such an uproar if he was refused? You are clearly suggesting that the only reason for "uproar" would be because he is gay and in a privaliged position. Why can you not see the good things that Elton brings for the child?? Or is he simply a bad person that doesn't deserve to be a parent?? I'm pleased to be in the minority on this one, if that is the case. If it helps you sleep at night that "the vast majority of SWF agree with me" then more power to your elbow. Pass the sleeping tabs I'm obviously in for a bout of insomnia.
  4. Why paedophilia Turkish? Changes in law such as legalisation of same sex relationships are their to protect the innocent, you cannot justify this change in law to the fantasy one of accepting innocent children being abused to satisfy paedophiles, that is just nonsense. You link emotive subjective to give your point some credance, when in fact the two are entirely seperate.
  5. It's never easy to lose ones that you love, never. My dad was 24, straight and married to my mum when I was born, he never once took me to the park to play football. Didn't stop me from loving the game though,
  6. This.... doesn't surprise me.
  7. Adoption is the process, being fit for purpose is the question here. You claim that being rude, petulant and child like are traits that should question whether someone is fit to be a parent. You must admit you are wrong here. Age is a factor. 63 is not ideal but we are all living longer, 1 in 6 of us on this thread will live to be 100 (knowing our luck it will be Turkish ;-) ). Therefore age is not such a significant factor to prevent this child from being brought up in a loving environment. For the record your final comment puts you into the patronising and prejudiced c**t category. But I actually don't think you are, I'd rather believe that you know you are in the wrong but too pig headed to admit it.... oh whoops, now that's not a nice trait for a future parent is it.
  8. I'm defending the rights of a 63 year old man who has also on numerous occassions demonstrated why he would make a good parent. That of course would not make front page news. I doubt I would have to delve too far into your posting history to come up with examples of you being rude, petulant and child like at times.
  9. What has paedophilia got to do with this discussion? Why are you desparate to link paedophilia with the legalisation of same sex relationships? Of course a child is happy when being raised by it's parents, I will not agree that this level of happiness is the same when the parents do not love each other. Thanks for the link to the media spun "modern" view...
  10. It's not End of though is it. It's End of your supposed negative reasons as to why you believe he should not be able to adopt. Why not come up with some valid reasons as to why he should? Generous, compassion, loving relationship, talented, available resource for the child, lover of sport, charity worker etc etc
  11. Lets not mix the case in point with other countries legislation, or legislation from the past. Unless you are suggesting that other countries have it right or that we should return to the 1960's? Do you have evidence that single gender parenting is in fact bad? Or maybe I should rephrase that, do you have evidence that the traditional family set up is better than single gender relationship for the child?
  12. That is not the fault of the parents of the child in question. More the fauilt of the parents of the bullies.
  13. Top man and dad, Viking.
  14. Lets not mix law breaking actions with those that are not. Paedophilia is a different topic entirely and has no relevance to the original post. I have no evidence before me as to why single gender parents are in fact bad for the child. Maybe you could enlighten me.
  15. You're a tit at times, entertaining sometimes but in the main a bit of a ccok. There - "black and white" enough for you? Or should I just think you are a ccok and be done with it? Solent has made his mind up, he wishes to remain openminded about it. Why do you have a problem with that? Why do you judge people that may wish to let others live their lives how they see fit. No laws have been broken here. No one has been hurt. The relationship this child has / is to be born into has every chance of being as dysfunctional as a traditional family set up.
  16. Paul Gilchrist Paul Bennett Paul Allen Paul Tisdale Jan-Paul Saejis... dodgy one Jamie Redknapp...
  17. Andy Townsend - even though he forgets he played for us Anders is the Swedish version Andrew, so you can chuck a Svensson in their too Steve Baker Mark - Wright, Dennis, Hughes John Burridge Ivan is also John, so you can throw in a Katalinic and Golac Peter Wells Kevin Bond Paul Rideout Just a few off the top of my head
  18. Before today I've never been privvy to such exciting information, so the timing of this thread could not be better for me. I have it on VERY good authority, that Stephan Kaypgote will be signing from Maritzburg Utd. He's only 17 but his performances have been the talk of South Africa. He will fill the role that many fans are always calling for. He will be our first "loan" signing in this window, the deal will become permanent in the close season.
  19. It's obviously the complete lack of a Fans Forum that is causing us to lose 2 goal leads. How can we move on until the Fans Forum is resurrected??!!1 Fans Forum OUT!
  20. right... got anything that's funny?
  21. Got any more?
  22. Oh no they're not
  23. Lallana Saturday has been cancelled, fingers crossed for Lallana Tuesday.
  24. Some people seem all too keen to believe what they read in the papers. To think Birmingham have the reddies to afford Keane, they couldn't even afford Miller from Rangers! Seems that Birmingham's transfer dealings this January will be all fart and no s**t. Unlike their neighbours of course.
