Oh balls!! I just backed Pardew to be sacked at 100/1 with Ladbrokes...
-
I think and hope he will be here come August.
-
Fook me, I've been privvy to information on 2nd and 3rd tier clubs before and tried to strike a bet, I was knocked back every time. Mainly because they are very unlikely to be able to form a book - where they look to balance the for and against market and look for the overround as their margin. Saints manager being sacked is more likely to have "in the know" knowledge than Saints being Champions League winners in 2015 and therefore you will definitely being able to strike the CL bet. Simple really.
-
Does anyone know anyone who struck a bet with Ladcrooks on AP going? No?? Thought not. Agreed with Chris O, I doubt very much that Laddies were running a book in the first place. Just because the OP's postmans, cousin's dog could not get a bet on does not mean the market has been suspended, more likely to mean there was no market in the first place.

Unlucky Stevey Boy!

Chester 1.45 Dubai Dynamo e/w 2.15 Dancing David 2.45 Age of Aquarius 3.15 Falasteen Giddy Up!!

Cream rising to the top again Profitable day yesterday, looking to capitalise today. Will wait on local weather reports before lumping on. :smt043 Giddy up!!

TV races: Chester 1.45 Sweet Lightning - Almiqdaad is the best horse in the race but at 6/4 for a hold up horse round Chester is too short for me, even though Jarvis is on fiiiiiiiire at the moment. Sweet gets a 10lb pull from a couple of lengths defeat by Almiqdaad at Newbs, change of stable since and a decent draw. 2.15 Stotsfold - trappy little race this. The selection has been banging on the door and the stable are in fine form. 2.45 Chink of Light - like Frankie I too thought this to be a stand out value bet. I suspect Critical Moment and Morana may not see this trip out. Rocket Man is bred to get the 12f but is hard to weigh up. For a bit of fun I've also paired Chink with Icon Dream for the forecast. 3.15 Niran - tight as a gnats chuff is this race. Niran has drifted this morning to 6s and from that draw he looks worth a bet. Gooders 3.00 Kavachi - expect Tudor Key to lead and the short priced fave Elliptical to sit second. These 2 could battle it out for a way and I'm hoping my old timer can pounce late. Giddy up!!
-
Not been a good day here either. Charlie Chester has been appalling, Southwell dug me out of a bit of a hole.
-
Too late! Already on it. Other Southwell picks: 1.55 Force to Spend 2.25 Cobo Bay 2.55 La Capriosa 3.30 Three Boars 4.45 Sir Pitt

Chester 4.00 Mark Twain e/w 4.35 Youm Jamil - NAP

Chester 1.45 Tight one to open with, Bathwick Bear is the choice at prohibitive odds. 2.15 Myplacelater front runner with the plum draw. 2.45 Som Tala, Direct Sea and Halla San e/w and Tricast (I'm that confident!!!) 3.15 I've backed Fol Hollow to win, plotted up, happy to ignore his Epsom run as he missed the kick but he finished like a train. Pavershooz is the value angle in this at 25s, again nice draw and his price reflects what seems on paper a poor run but when you factor in he burst a blood vessel he is worth a go e/w.
-
Ahh... so the real shock of the race was that Kip's selection actually placed!
-
Well done Chris O. 25s is a roight touch!
-
Don't give up, your bizmaarks are much needed.
-
Uh oh... Kip and Steve Oh both gone for a fancy of mine in the Chester Vase. This horse now seems destined for the glue pot! "Horses for courses" and none more so than at Chester. With that in mind I've also gone e/w on Halla San and Direct Sea in the Vase. Giddy up.
-
Steady now ChrisO... pretty close so far, both "value" bets beaten a length. That might be as good as it gets! Just to please you, I also like Goose Green and Wreningham at Brighton. Giddy up!!
-
Not the greatest of cards today. Some value picks: Folk 2.10 Fine Silk (7/1) Folk 2.40 Caramelita (10/1) Folk 3.40 Equinity (12/1) Folk 4.10 Mottys Gift (6/1) Folk 5.10 Addwaitya (5/1) Playing singles, acca, doubles and trebles on this merry bunch. Full steam ahead for the Guineas meeting, I'm in Munich this weekend but I'm on at fancy prices for the 2000 on Canford Cliffs and Al Zir and for the 1000 Hibaayeb. Giddy Up!!

oi oi!! Very game effort.
-
And your lay advice I mean tips have been missed too!

You'll be pleased to hear that work has kept me away from the gee gees the last few days... but the win machine is back!!! Ascot is the main focus this afternoon: 2.10 Pick A Little - not much form to go on. Zebedee was highly impressive lto. My pick knows how to win and I expect it to give Zeb the most to do. 2.45 Bella Swan - to hopefully frank the Pipette form, she being my Oaks hope. 3.20 King of Dixie - Cityscape should win but odds are prohibitive and shorter than I expected giving King of Dixie a bit more of a value look. 3.55 Mojave Moon - bred to stay, stay and stay. Some half decent bits of form in middle distance races last year. Only real concern is will it settle if not given the lead. Godolphin are flying, the early return to HQ seems to have worked so far. 4.30 Mon Cadeaux - decent little race this. I like 4 in this so gone for a bit of value. Baldings horses have been running well. 5.05 Hail Promenader - Ellemujie is main danger to this Hills horse. 5.40 South Cape - I've a lot of time for Gary Moore, even more so when he gives his son the leg up. Has been steadily backed this morning.
-
Racing for Change - more like change for change sake. Utter rubbish. It's the punter that keeps this game alive, start looking after them more.
-
Agreed with Frankie and ChrisO on Bensalem in the World Series Hurdle. Where the pace comes from in this race is a concern, if they go a crawl it will set it up for Quevega. Bensalem is the value in this. Good luck!
-
Against the odds Alainmaar won!! Suspect Jarvis will line him up for a big handicap... he won the John Smiths last year with Almiqdaad, maybe a similar sort.
